Thank you so much it came out of necessity when I first started making product videos at the beginning of the year and needed multiple colored backdrops!
Very cool. The Mandalorian is doing backgrounds in a similar fashion now. Obviously on a much bigger scale. Technology advancements are so wonderful. I remember trying to shoot tv and computer monitor screens and having to worry about scan lines and refresh rates as well as white balance issues.
Yeah they are doing some super cool things funny enough when I first used the tv idea the mandolarian wasn't out yet I did it out of peer necessity because I wanted multiple color backgrounds for a shoot and didnt have enough backdrops haha But I love what they are doing makes the possibilities in filmmaking endless!
Your channel is such a gem! Selfishly , and don’t take it the wrong way, I’m glad you’re not too popular (yet), because you still focus on the craft and not on blah blah about your life, gear, your fancy coffeemaker, etc... (hello peter McKinnon). :-)
never change, man. love your authenticity and effort you put in your videos & willingness to grow and try new techniques. brilliant! appreciate what you do.
I love the setting you created, you are professional and creative at the same time. Very good and a source of inspiration for me. But what about cost these videos, if you can tell. I look forward to your other tutorials with trepidation.
Love this idea, awesome work 😀👍🏻 Can to make a video of shooting product with cheap light like I have one good light and for more light what can I do? Help me solve this issue of mine 😅
Amazing work! I would like you telling me where you find the particular sound and who’s this off voice? How you find the exact words to tell in the off voice? Thank you
Hi Austen, we want to film a setting with a TV background as well but we are struggling with the flickering. How do you film without the flickering TV? We also need some slomotion 100fps shots. We filming with sonya7siii. Thank you for making awesome videos and inspiring content ❤️🙏🏻
Great work as always haha, experiment is the best, you always come up with something super cool you did not expect at all, I was doing a video for a perfume yesterday using a tray filled with water and mirror inside, I got some cool footage moving lights around :)
Dude that is awesome I just want to help inspire people to think more outside the box. Not everything is perfect but I hope people see this and build upon the idea and make something better. I know I will take another stab at it eventually and try to better myself.
I'd say matching the focal length of the background photo with the focal length on your lens used, should glue the scene together and might look even more real
how come you had no problem with flicker TV refreshing? i was trying something similiar with my pc monitor 60hz and i had refresh flicker when i set 120fps and shutter speed 250
Hi Austen, great work! On doing the dolly shot of the bottle, how did you achieve to maintain the focus that well? Is it canons continuous auto focus magic or did you pull it manually? Best, Dejan
I really find your videos inspirational and your work is amazing. If you dont mind me asking where did you find that sand in that quantity? Well anyway thank you for your great videos.
Hey Austen. When you were first starting with product video, how did you get business? Did you contact clients? Did they contact you? And what does your pricing structure look like? I am starting to get potential clients and need some help figuring out how to price and provide different levels of purchasing options. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
awesome now i my ugly as can model indoors without having any of the anxiety of going outside and looking like a social media influencer caught in the wild amazing!
I love it brother. Creative technique. Speaking from a PR stand point you need to run culture appeals by a group. You have cuban music playing infant of Mexican scene with a Tequila made by an American. Teramana communication complete avoid the creative direction because it'a so delicate, and crazy hard to pull off. I know this is a tutorial, so I'm sorry for the unsolicited advice.
Super great point, I did send it to a few of my friends that are Hispanic to make sure the Spanish was correct but what they thought of the video nobody mentioned any of that haha but yes super good point!
Please please please please please please please please..... Tell how to shoot video of small products like beauty products, perfumes,cc creams etc please Austen ❤️
I love how the Rock got into the commercial even though you didn’t ask him to be In it. 😆
Hes just a stand up guy really shows his character to take these smaller budget commercials haha
John Cena be everywhere even if u don't call 😌
Suhas Rao hahaha
oooohhhhkayyy lmao
I've never seen anyone else do this. Excited for this video. Best and most informative channel for product videos. Amazing Paul!!
Thank you so much it came out of necessity when I first started making product videos at the beginning of the year and needed multiple colored backdrops!
"yeaaa wasting things for projects that's how we roll!" lol!
The sacrifice was MUCHHHH appreciated Austen!! So many gems in this video!
I try my best to save as much as possible some ideas are just super messy haha, thanks for the support!
i think its your best one I've seen. Especially the label, how crisp it is seems very special.
Your Commercials are the next big thing bro. No overused transitions just high quality clean cinematic images 👍🏻🎬☺️
Thank you so much Peter!!
@@AustenPaul very welcome dude!!

Love your Videos, they are very inspiring! You always have a unique and creative way to make a really nice commercial.
Wow so creative!
And now I want some tequila
Heck yeah!!
Awesome. What did you do to avoid the TV screen flickering frequency issue?
So for 24 and 60 frames I had no issues but at 300 I got flicker. I removed it using a plug in called flicker free
Oh woow amazing work man well done!
Love this idea, awesome work 😀👍🏻

Beautiful! I think, tho, the TV image could be a little more "yellowish" (it's a little bit cold).
I wonder why you don’t use always the URSA is not a better camera?
I like my canon better!

Could you please tell me which tv it is? Should it be 4K led tv? And how we will avoid the glitches of the light from the tv in the camera
this video is amazing....OMG really needed this
Hi Austen, great work! On doing the dolly shot of the bottle, how did you achieve to maintain the focus that well? Is it canons continuous auto focus magic or did you pull it manually? Best, Dejan
Its auto focus for most of it but I also pull by hand in some shots like the tequila drop.
Shirtless pants slider! 😂
It’s the new way to go!
Really well made. I'm trying to do something similar, but I I haven't got there yet. Is the TV has to have a certain specs so it has that look?
You are literally so inspirational! I love your videos so much☺️
Outstanding!!! May I ask what TV you use for this shot? Also, is there a shutter speed to avoid when using a TV.
LG OLED and sometimes but I havent had the issue with this TV
outstanding work :):) your work and videos here are the best on youtube, you are amazing :):)
Wow thank you so much!
Hey, I might be really slow, but where is the link that you were talking about to find the acrylic ice?
It’s in the bio of my description under gear I use
@@AustenPaul All I see in the bio is a short text about you and a link to your website at the bottom, no link to any gear. 🤔
You have to click show more then it shows the music I use and hear link
