A little coolant or WD40 would go a long way to prevent aluminum from welding to endmill.

I was using wd-40. I should have said something.

Ultrasound cleaner works great for cleaning stones too.

@@DudleyToolwright I had a handful of my Grandfather's stones, those brown ones that come in all kinds of shapes and they were filthy and as I had my ultrasonic cleaner fired up for some parts I tossed them in and they came out looking brand new so I tossed my larger stones in and had the same result. But who knows your mileage may vary but I was amazed at the difference.

Weld Spatter, not "Splatter' .....'Splatter' is brown in color...just saying
