Brings back great memories of my student days at Cameron High many years ago hahaha. I believe thats where the "Sagi boys" was formed? The students were mainly from Suau area, Gadaisu (and) Iloilo. Their lead vocalist (middle) Marc Anakapu passed away 2 weeks ago, and was Laid to rest in his village of Nuwabune in Milne Bay Province. The Milne Bay Community Association will be organising a stringband event in August in memorial of him and other musicians who've passed on. Sheldon, Mark & Betu,, (correct me if I've given wrong names) they are legends of milne bay music in there own rights: but folks, I myself cannot forget those who have gone before them,, just to name a few: Kai Damuni, Tau Alele, young reindols, Asahi, Penu and his Kemodis, Matthew Walesi plus many more.. some years later came Dire Strings, Emty heads, Boi Dagugu, Uglies of Rabaraba, Ex Doeos, lausuala.. this are music I grew up listening to tape cassette and on radio milne bay on short wave & medium wave frequency
