Fun fact : the carpet in Ronin's shop from City of Stiix has a color swap counterpart in the blacksmith set from the HoT wave. This is a nice little reference and I love when Lego do small collectible stuff across multiple sets like that!
I managed to find 70596: Samurai X Cave Chaos (used) for about its original retail price, just last week! But that's only half of the story, because I've been keeping an eye out on second hand market places for that set since 2020. And that's the first time I've found it listed! The price seemed fair, and from the pictures it looked like all was there including the minifig, but I still have to go through each part to make sure it's complete (oh, and I have to wash it thoroughly as it's so dusty you'd think Thanos snapped his fingers on it!)
Great, informative video. I never really watched Ninjago, but I'm so happy to have picked up Ninjago City and Ninjago City Gardens when they were out. They just looked too awesome to pass up. I'm glad I didn't have to pick them up at aftermarket prices
I’m suprised I own almost all of these. Still pains me to this day that I didn’t get the ninjago docks when it first came out. Hopefully one day I find a listing somewhere with a somewhat less ridiculous price.
Lol same bro like I got the City and am planning on getting the Garden but I for some reason didn’t get the docs and regret it badly. I might just get 2 Gardens causes I know it’s gonna be mad expensive once it retires.
I got the Ninjago City back before it retired for $209 @ the LEGO Store. Sold it last year for $1000. I sold it on OfferUp and it got sold within hours. I could not believed it. I wish I’ve gotten more.
I've been binge watching your Lego Ninjago vids for the past two days, the quality of your videos speaks volumes, and honestly u r real cool. Seeing you know so much about the different sets, and minifiguresis really good. Keep up the good work!
Looks like my kids are lucky - I bought them both a movie destiny bounty set when they were on clearance at my local Kmart (Australia) which I’ve packed away for when they are both a bit older (because they love Ninjago but were too young at the time to build them and also to not break them apart every two seconds). It’s the only set I’ve ever bought and kept for later, but I just thought it was so cool and knew it would be hard to get once discontinued. I had no idea quite how hard to get though!
Fun fact Jay apears in 9/10 sets on this list Also I found someone selling the Dawn of Iron Doom for 80 dollars used with minifigures and in good condition so I got it now I know I saved like 90 dollars
Happy to be able to say that I own all of these except for City Docks. I hope to get it one day to go along with Ninjago City and the Gardens, I wasn't a huge fan of it when it was first out but now I regret not picking it up! I also need 3/4 of that 2017 Bricktober pack, I got Kai last year for about $30, and still need to get the other three figures. I was lucky enough to pick up the 2018 one for the same price as that Kai alone, and I'm very pleased with the minifigures from that pack.
I don't care about Ninjago as it came out while I was already an adult and in my dark ages, so I have relationship to it, but I love knowing stuff, and this was very informative! Cheers from Denmark!
I remember that on one of my birthdays i broke down ALL of my Lego sets, and now I realize it was a big mistake. At least now I've got all of them sorted in color and built the airjitzu temple and half of the movie's bounty
@@doriantiko7218 i have atleast over 70 sets that iv lost to the bin over the years and the temple of airjitzu is one of the sadest ones that are in pieces

The Temple of Airjitsu (despite the fact that I have many other much larger sets such as both the supersized City and City Gardens sets) I think will always be one of my favourite Ninjago sets ever. Perhaps even from any theme.
The ninjago city set new will cost like $800-$1000 on eBay. Especially with shipping and taxes, I waited for a month to try and get a cheaper deal and finally got one new for like $700 but it ended up being $800 after shipping and taxes.
I remember perfectly when I saw destiny's bounty, temple of arjitzu, iron doom, ninjago city classic and docks in the store. Another thing is that i see lego ninjago city gardens in almost every lego store
FunFact: The shoulderpath of the Overloard was an exklusive mold for the figure, wich only got one recollor for a Batman figure. These two figures are the only ones with these mold. And the min. price for the shoulder path it self is like 30€.
The shoulder pads were actually introduced for the Hobbit orcs that came out around the same time, although the Overlord was one of the few figures to use it in a single color shade, rather than the dual painted colors it was used in for the Hobbit Orcs
fantastic video love how big your collection is the only thing i suggest is a mic that goes under your shirt and into a device to get rid of the echo and when your doing other videos where your turned away from your camera and your audio is a bit muffled and low that will solve that

Back in Christmas of 2017 when I was 7 I got the Destiny's Bounty movie version, and me and my mom built half of it over 5 months and I only played with the minifigures. That is until June of this year where i got all my Legos together and spent 11 days building it, I lost half the minifigures though so no more Nya Lloyd Jay or Zane.

I do also have the Iron Doom set and its figs, aside from Krux and Acronix the rest of the figs are meh. I’ve had that Krux/Cryptor/Neuro/Kai pack sealed for the last three or so years. Found it on Bricklink for $30, thought I should go for it and I’m SO glad I did. It’s impossible to get it for less than $100 now which is insane for four minifigures. Chris did you get it when it first came out or did you have to go after it later?
Thankfully I got it at Toys R Us when it first came out! Always regretting not getting more - I recall it came out at an odd time where there weren’t any new sets to buy, and had a steep purchase requirement for the GWP - hence why I only ever got one. $30 is a steal though!
@@DuckBricks That’s awesome - and hey at least you got one, and at the best time too. I knew it would skyrocket in value after Toys R Us closed, I was happy to spot that $30 listing and got it right away cause I knew it wasn’t getting any cheaper. Definitely one of the rarest Ninjago sets.
