Update: The ranunculus are now in full bloom and I can’t wait to show you all the beautiful blooms that I’ve gotten. There are some really unique flowers in this mix and I know you all will enjoy them as much as I am ! Stay tuned for a ranunculus bloom video ! 🩷 How to grow ranunculus playlist ➡️ ua-cam.com/play/PLwu7JP_4D-DkWrcyl6E_nDgHd783YvmRc.html&si=-0lBMYEI_0zVT8I6
Thank you very much for sharing 🌱🌸👍🏼 My ranunculus grow very nicely until I put them into the garden because of the snails 🐌 I think this year I'm going to leave them in pots. Greetings Heidi 👩🌾 I'm your new subscriber and I'm wishing you all the best for 2024 🎊🎉💕
Welcome, so glad to have you here ! Thankfully I don’t really struggle a lot with snail problems (hope I didn’t just jinx myself lol). I hope leaving them in pots will give you success & a beautiful show this year. Mines are currently covered due to low temps and expected snow here the next 2 days. ♥️
Ok I saw you on another video and saw your zone and ran right over! I want some Ranunculus so I’m hoping I can get in on the fun this year going to start then tomorrow lol
Awesome, I hope the video was helpful ! Mines are looking well in the ground. Nice and strong. We are expecting pretty low temps this upcoming week so I’ll have to cover them but I absolutely hope you have success growing them !!!
My pleasure! Same thing happened to me my first go around, but this year planting them late fall gave me a beautiful show in March that lasted quite a while! Hope you have for success next year! Depending on your zone just make sure you fall plant instead of spring. Only lower zones with really cool temps in May benefit from late planting ! 😊
Don’t worry, sometimes they just take a little longer! Sometimes mines sprout fast and other times slow. Just make sure you’re keeping them moist not allowing them to completely dry out and keeping them around 50-60 degrees (that’s the temp that works best for me in zone 8b) Mines are actually in full bloom now. I can’t wait to share the video I’m working on now. Waiting for them all to bloom and then I’ll update you all ! ♥️
@@meganhellwig9194 I have never found any benefit of fertilizing in the presprouting process. The only time I ever fertilize is once they’re full of foliage in the ground come spring time. Either just before blooming or as they’re blooming so that the plant has a little boost before going dormant. This way it can have added nutrients for next season! I also make sure all foliage turns brown before digging them up so that it has enough energy stored for next years blooms. I hope this helps and thanks for the question ! 💕
They are similar to tubers and bulbs, basically they are a food and energy store for plants that are perennials. They go dormant at a certain period. Like other bulbs & tubers we allow the plant to fully die back to focus its energy back down into the corm so that it will come back the next year ! Elephant ears also have corms. 😊

I’m attempting to pre-sprout now. It’s been 5 days and I haven’t received any growth out of 40 😅

Some accounts have said to fertilize before planting, you say not to. When should we fertilize then and why?

Hello, we are so excited to have you here. 💜
What is a corm !!!!????
