It's sad to see our people live in such deplorable conditions. They are desperately in need of basic life necessities. Please let us know how we can help. It makes me sad to see the children living in these conditions. I also notice in yours and other videos that hilight the poor in guyana that one thing they have in common is they have a lot of children. Children are a blessing, however, when you can barely provide for yourself, how could you provide for them? This will only make it more difficult for them to get out of their current situation. The government should provide educational resources to teach women about contraception. Guyana has such vast land. Why can't some of that land be cleared and given to people to build on it? Teach them skills and make them productive members of society. It will be a win, win situation for all. Thank you for bringing their stories to us.
Thanks Shabna for highlighting these people with their problems.Hope Dr Ali visits this area. However why these people have 13 children 8 alive. The others probably died from malnutrition. Contraception is free in Guyana. There are pills, injections and the loop. These women do not go to the clinics to help themselves.Who can help them with 8 choldren , a bedridden husband and herself. The living conditions are DEPLORABLE.
@@amazonwarrior7126 That sounds promising. Everything takes time. This is a problem in some of the richest countries, however, people get financial help from the government also. I'm not sure what programs they have available in guyana. Definitely a program is needed to educate these people and teach them skills. Those who welcome the opportunity will only stand to make a better life for themselves.
Sad to see all these families struggling like this. I hope the Government will eventually help them with some better living conditions soon. Thank you Shabna for highlighting these families
Ms Shabana , you are doing a great jog show casing the poor in Guyana, its true that these families help , but what astonishing is why are these families so large . These parents needs some counseling on family planning
God will always bless you shabna .you. are a true woman with love and support for those poor people .keep sharing these videos .please let us know how we can give our support
When some people think that things are bad with them they are people out there face in real hard time I hope they get some help soon from the government it so sad watching all those little kids out dear 😭💔💔
Sad to know that up to this day people are still struggling in Guyana, this is what the present Government should be looking at, just sharing house-lots isn't going to alleviate the situation, give priority to these poor areas where people shouldn't be living in the first place, these are very poor people but you can still see that they have hope and they have a smile on their face, God bless these people...
Living in poverty especially low-income communities tend to have the highest rate of depression, anxiety, high crimes, poor houses, inadequate shool system, having kids when you can't afford them. Guyana is no longer under the British Ruler, a republic country, just like most European countries. The country need a robust governance system that enables the country to channel the oil-money back into communities. Guyana need to eliminate the "Race Politics", it does not work. Democractic system will do the country some good. The corrupt behaviour of politicians and government officials negatively the poor people by preventing them from accessing any support. Bharat Jagdeo and his team only focusing on the oil profits - no transparency while the poor people are deprived of necessities like clean water, medical care, and food. This massive gap between the rich and poor has been widened over the years. In Guyana, under the rulership of either PNC or PPP corruption exists almost at all levels of the political system and is the main reason behind slow economic development. Caricom needs to setup a check and balance system like the Federal in America, whereby they can demote or remove a corrupt President or Prime Minister and most of all monitor Elections in every country of the Caribbean. Thank you for uploading.
Thank you so much for your analytical comment. I especially like what you said about poverty and ‘having kids when you can’t afford them.’ A lot of people won’t get it. I hope the oil funds is used for their betterment and for all Guyanese.
Need more volg in Guyana show all improvised citizens etc. Hopefully the Government make the ppl priority. I'm concerned that alot of Guyanese are gonna wind up being slaves to all those foreign investors if the Government don't put measures into place to protect the rights of our ppl. So sad !!
so cc well can you do every thing in 2 years, ? give every body a house, in 2 years when the first oil money was taken out jan 2022, so the gov needs time before they can be rehoused, but if you were in power what would you do for all the the people of Guyana in 2 years in housing and dont forget they cant concentrate only on one area.
I did not know Rome was build in one Day? It would take time to get things down. I wish my Family got this attention growing up 10 of us in a small house stairs falling. At least they have place to plant food.. Did not know the other oil rich countries giving their people House and land. ? ? Though they had to work!
The plight of human suffering the world over questions our own existence, but it cuts us deeper when that suffering is closer to home where the place and its people are tangibly familiar. It is a spiritual consciousness that connects us all and the urge to do something becomes a palpable taste on your being that right action becomes you. I believe that we all share in the interconnected one soul of consciousness. A place where we feel each other's sorrows, love and spiritualness. I have a healthy respect for Guyana's government and I do believe that they will do the right thing by these people. I pray for a good outcome for all of Guyana and its people.
