    Not about becoming a PJ, however it is a definite rucking question. I am joining the Air Force and will be attempting the SERE pipeline. My ruck is around 55lb and I usually ruck about 3 times a week for at least 3 miles. I want your take on how to train for the 4 mile ruck test in under an hour. Take your time, and if you get a chance to answer this, thanks in advanced!!!

    I wanna buy your past training program; nevertheless my mile run is at 8:30. I can run forever but I can’t pass that time.

      epic gamer Pavon I was in the same situation. Try adding sprints into your running. That helped me a lot

      Also try doing pyramids, 100m, 200m, 300m, all the way up to 800m and then back down.

      Like all the other guys said, one of the biggest things is to vary your training and add in sprints/Fartleks/hills etc. I if you have any additional questions, feel free to email me and I would be happy to help you out man

    Is there a specific size ruck you recommend? (Small, medium, large / or liter size)

      Could be a Spec Ops Brand Recon Ultra Ruck.
      His is multicam and looks like a medium Alice size so that's my prime suspect.

    Without getting too much into tactics and procedures, would you be able to do some videos on the medical side?

    • @HowToBeAPJ
      @HowToBeAPJ  6 років тому +4

      That kinda gets into a whole different realm, I would teach people in person but not in the capacity of this business

      @Luke Brown Cracking open a legit Anatomy and physiology book would help. It all starts with a good foundation of A&P

    So I understand this isn't an ideal question for a potential candidate, but I got into some trouble when I was a bit younger and dumber, and ended up with a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge, it should have been expunged from my record when I turned 18, but if it were to come up, (because I have no intention of being dishonest about it) could that disqualify me as far as security clearance and such. Thank you.

    • @HowToBeAPJ
      @HowToBeAPJ  6 років тому +3

      Yes, it may just based on how many times/how long you have been doing it and whether or not you have stopped smoking.

      @@HowToBeAPJ no problems there. After getting that wake up call from my local justice system I decided it just wasn't worth the risk. Especially considering they were giving me a second chance by expunging my record as long as I didn't mess it up. So I've been clean since 10th grade, and I'm 22 now. Thank you for the information, both here and throughout your channel, and Thank you for your service.

    If you was CCT and then you decided to moved to PJ do you have to go into the same pipeline again?

    • @HowToBeAPJ
      @HowToBeAPJ  6 років тому +3

      You would have to go through paramedic and through SERE/water survival then the apprentice course. So basically everything except airborne, HALO, and dive.

      How'd it go?

    • @kylerrichmeier5892
      @kylerrichmeier5892 Рік тому +2

      @MrRepid I got huge calluses on the balls of my feet. my calves got bigger than they ever were. I can't compare it to regular running shoes or boots or anything unfortunately as I never trained in them. But about 7 weeks ago I rolled my ankle while running down some alleys (due to minimal shoes? Idk tbh, feel like I would've rolled it no matter what but I really don't know) so I'm currently waiting for an mri as wearing the boot didn't fix my ankle problem so yea. I'd def say implement them. Pry good for ankle foot and calf strength forsure
