The lady had a motor cycle accident, she went to the hospital and she was treated and went home only for her condition to worsen. Later she was diagnosed with spinal cord injury, she went to the hospital but due to lack of funds her parents requested that she be transferred to her rural home. Her parents were also poor and they have many children so Molly was kept at home instead of her being taken to the hospital. While at home her condition worsened, she also developed bedsores. When she was taken to the hospital her Hb level was 2. .. again due to lack of finances she returned home. While at home she remembered her friend in Nairobi and made a phone call, the friend requested that Molly should go back to Nairobi so that he can take her to the hospital. She could not afford an ambulance nor a private means so she opted for a public service vehicle. When she was boarding the vehicle the other passengers refused because she was smelling due to the bedsores. The friend who had asked her to be taken to Nairobi talked to the owner of the vehicle and she was taken to Nairobi. In Nairobi the friend took her to Kenyatta National Hospital where she had been booked the previous day. On arrival she found that there was no bed for admission, she waited at the OPD section for 1 week and while waiting a nurse asked the friend who had taken her there how they were related. The friend said Molly was just a friend, the nurse advised the friend to return Molly back home to wait to die. Molly's friend called his friend who was a doctor working at Molo district hospital and requested her to be admitted there. He then moved Molly from KNH to Molo district hospital where she was admitted and treated. Molly stayed at Molo district hospital for a long time. When she tried to reach out to her family they distanced themselves from her. While at Molo district hospital is when she started writing her songs and she recorded them after being discharged from the hospital. She was assisted money for recording by the nurses of Molo district hospital. After being discharged her family refused to come for her but good luck she found a good Samaritan who accepted to stay with her. She later moved back to her rural home in Kisii and continued with her singing and this was during the campaign period. She got a man who approached her and asked her hand in marriage, she accepted and moved in with the man. Kumbe the money didn't love instead he had seen the money she was making during the campaign period. Because of her condition she was employing house helps to assist her. His husband used to sleep with the house helps and the man also turned violent and he was assaulting her. The husband's family didn't love her instead they used to traumatise her psychologically and when she could report to the husband he also beats her instead of helping. She came to realise that her husband was sleeping with his brother's wife and that they even had a child. Because of all those problems she decided to leave the husband. She developed a heart problem ie her heart enlarged. She went to Nairobi and she was admitted but she was advised to go to India for further treatment. The cost of her treatment is 2.5 million shillings. She has a kid in boarding school where by she pays 35k a term, she was being assisted by a well wisher but since she got married the well wisher stopped paying for the child. She was selling her songs but her vehicle broke down. She the Corona pandemic broke out in Kenya she has been staying indoors. Sometimes she even lacks food. She is now appealling for help to take care of her family and for her treatment in India. This is the rough summary of the interview.
