so many red flags here. Complacent. No real product. spend 1mil they won from MYEG pitch on marketing and still fail. None of the founder have technical background on ecommerce and their only "product" is the e commerce platform. Who is in the right mind would value this company a 100 mil USD company?? its insane. without Vivy, FV would get not a cent.
Yes, but we should not just attack these 2 kids..must question the infrastructure and existing favoritism system that feed so many of these failed malay elitists/non malay cronies for decades
Listening to both of them talking i assume that it was after having 47 million credited into their account. Now I wonder what or how did they managed to convince PNB and Khazanah to part with those amounts, seeing that what they've just talked about were mere lip service to the host. It's not so much about who they are, rather what did both the GLICs see in them to trust that kind of monies to them. E-commerce is all about pushing your goods ONLINE, not setting up physical stores ( 10 of them if i read correctly). And when the going gets tough they just start concentrating on their own brand instead of making fresh new deals with the other 500 suppliers. Is this a model of good business acumen? Or just the thinking of " it's not our money so nasiblah". You needed good managers, not directors for we all know that managers are operational people while directors are just there for show. I guess the host will look back at this interview with a slightly different perspective.
Those physical stores seems like a showing off move. Expand to fast and too much, not focusing on what the business needs and how it really needs to grow. As someone else says, they really are bad entrepreneurs. They're smart at talking sure, have fancy education background but zero percent entrepreneurial intelligence or spirit.
Define the word Success. Its a multimillion dollar business but they only talk about general & personal experiences, not about statistic report and how to overcome challenges, strategic marketing. Why she keep saying 'i don't know about it', is she an artist or famous people?
They cannot talk about their business model because there's none. So they have to talk about themselves. You have a multi million ringgit company and you listen to your kids? Why don't you appoint them as directors then? Your opinion is well thought out, something I wished they did back then.
That’s a huge mistake when u did not do the market search or study about business but had audacity to create a business…. Look at it now what happened.
