You’re right about avocado in the 60’s. My folks got married then and their wedding gift pots, pans and casserole dishes were that color. I think their fridge was harvest gold from the 70’s. There are pictures of me as a kid sitting in the kitchen.
Another child of the avocado refrigerator here. My parents bought one in 1968 & it was still running when they sold the house in 1986...probably still is ;) They eventually bought an avocado dishwasher that wheeled across the kitchen to attach to the faucet & discharge down the drain. The green and gold of that time I think are closest to your swatches 3 and 12, each from a different set. Seems like they missed an opportunity for what I called "country duck blue" in the 80s. Have fun with all the new colors!
You might not like that brush because it’s not meant to be used like other watercolor brushes. It’s not really meant for scrubbing watercolor like you were doing. It’s more for smoother strokes.
These boxes say "Kissho" in Japanese. Another famous Japanese company for Gansai.
Thank you! Good to know.

“Country duck blue” made me truly laugh out loud. I remember my Mom redoing her 70s kitchen into a total country blue-duck included.

That makes sense.
I’m looking at how the brush is being used, ......that lovely point 😳
