In my opinion as a Slade fan since 1971, this is one of their best. The boys did a brilliant job with this and always leave me feeling better after listening to them, but this is a brilliant song, brilliantly performed and a different class...amazing!
This Christmas record by Slade whom came back as a heavy rock band in early 1980's 'My oh My' UK No 2 at Christmas 83 ten years after bands epic song 'Merry Christmas Everybody' was at No 1. 'My oh My' every bit as good & should be celebrated as one of Slade's best songs without a shadow of doubt.
41 years - htf did that happen? This hit number 2 in the UK charts Xmas 1983 - I was 18, Slade had been booked to play at a local pub - The Shoulder of Mutton in Hardstoft. Not only did they honour the booking they blew the roof off the place. As we all spilled out into the car park at the end it was snowing, wonderful memories.
I believe in woman, my oh my I believe in lovin', my oh my Don't a women need a man, try and catch one if you can I believe in woman, my oh my We all need someone to talk to my oh my We all need someone to talk to my oh my Ya need a shoulder to cry on, call me I'll be standing by We all need someone to talk to my oh my We all need a lot of lovin' my oh my Yeah, a whole lot of lovin' my oh my I can lend a helpin' hand if you ain't go nothing planned We all need some lovin' my oh oh my So let's all swing together my oh my We can all swing together my oh my You've got troubles on your own, no need to face them all alone We can all swing together my oh my So let's all pull together my oh my...
That's why "The Amazing Kamikaze Syndrome" was repackaged as "Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply" in North America as Quiet Riot was getting all their hits from Slade tunes lol
"My Oh My" was released on 7-inch and 12-inch vinyl by RCA Records in the UK, Ireland, across Europe, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. It was released by CBS in America and Canada.
@@CrosscutFilmsSask reason I asked is that the American album title (Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply) was given and not the International title (The Amazing Kamikaze Syndrome) at the start of the video.

Slade made so many great songs but for me this is their best. Wonderful and timeless. Strange that I never hear this on the radio?...
Well, not these days ya don’t. But in 1983-1984, oh yeah! Regular rotation on the Album Rock stations here in Houston.
This is such a great song. Slade deserves a place in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame.

I agree. It's clear, the sound is perfect and it's exactly the way I remember it on MTV. Brilliant restoration!

Love Slade, wish they had kept going
Was on a plane with them this last Thursday ❤. But, sadly, only Dave Hill remained of the original line-up

Absolument GENIAL !!!
Quiet Riot did remakes of two of Slade's songs. When this song was on the charts, I jokingly wondered if QR would do a remake of it.

I thought Slade was on CBS Associated when this was released and not RCA.

The "Glee Cast" (TV series) should have done the remake of "My Oh My"!!!
I still think this song came out of a pub bet that they couldn't make a rocker out of "She'll Be Coming 'Round the Mountain".
