      Taxation is theft and so is money printing.
      Provision of services is disconnected from need of services. Policing isn’t a private business, but you and most people think of it that way. As if the way it is funded is rational and familiar to you.

      please be aware, that the polices throws the book at you and they charge you with whatever they think they can. BUT you can only get actually convicted if they have enough evidence. Sometimes they just can't prove intend for a crime, or they can't really prove there was a crime, because circumstances don't match the expected crime etc. So the DA drops these charges. Often they also drop some stuff during a deal. A deal is beneficial for the taxpayer. It might look like a loss, but it's not in the grand scheme of things.
      Although I agree that especially in woke states there are some questionable DAs.

      thats crazy, a kid I grew up with in middle school when he was 14 he shot a sawed off shotgun and accidently shot some of his hand off and he was running from the cops, but he got arrested and was let out the next day, and when I was 13 I was caught with a gun and a machete and I was let out the same exact day. Canada and Americas system needs to be changed, unless they just want a loop of crime to keep their jobs.

      Depends on what you're drinking. If water, possible hyponatremia, hypervolemia, urinary incontinence, Acute Renal Failure, hyperkalemia, hypertension, hypoglycemia, glucosuria, albuminuria, and edemas, such as peripheral, cardiac or pulmonary. Considering the suspect, I doubt he consumes much free water.

    I got 14 months of probation for my dui 6 years ago pulling over as soon as I saw lights and was courteous to all officers. This man shot up a bar, evaded police in a high speed pursuit while drunk, threatened officers, had guns, had drugs etc. and got basically the same punishment I did.

    Our crime rate would be significantly lower if we actually held people accountable and showed others that you can’t get away with things
    Edit: I also believe that crime isn’t just as simple as this. There’s many factors that contribute to crime. I’m just saying that punishments overall need to be stricter and followed through.

I had some pretty bad friends and ended up in jail a lot but I had grown up with them and didn’t want to let them go. One of them died from a OD and another one is in prison. Life pretty much forced me to let them go

      He was invited out to a bar for celebrating. That probably violates the curfew and associating with criminals rules but it doesn't necessarily mean he knew the guys were criminals or that he had any control over what eventually happened. It may be as simple as him breaking the rules once by staying out late and getting caught up in a situation he wanted nothing to do with

      We need to give violent offenders like these guys more time, and anyone that hurts children and rapist more time.
      No violent crimes, drug users, bad check ect (usually for drugs root of a lot of evil drugs are) need more help, halfway homes and treatment to get clean. Mandatory drug testing that doesn’t happen in jail and they get just as much drugs in there.
      Put these violent POS behind bars and help broken but non violent people live stable lives. Just my opinion and thoughts.

We got the progressives on the left, who want to free everybody, and the far right, on the right, who want to imprison everybody. Until we have open primaries, where the independents can vote for candidates in the primaries, that their tax dollars go to pay for, this country is going to fall apart.     The lack of real consequences by weak DAs WILL lead to vigilantism. People will only deal with this for so long before protecting themselves. If the DA in town lets people who look like them get away with committing crimes people will begin to just deal with them on their own.
