Due to Nintendo’s Lack of effort to Bring back the absent Sunset in SUNSET WILDS in the Booster course pass,Because they can add it by include A dynamic skybox lighting feature in the or a later released System Update & MK8D Software Update
Riverside Park, Sky Garden, Sunset Wilds, Cheese Land, Ribbon Road, Boo Lake and Snow Land look like they were made by Nintendo. This guy is unbelievable
who's gonna tell them
@@MrHimalayas_ It's a joke duh
@@laser90 im playing along bruh
@NumberOneRated1997 I can say the same for Sky Garden
you might wanna sit down for this
That Lakeside Park is unreal, this is 1000x better than the new Tour version
I completely agree
Yeah it's outstanding, the only issue is that maybe it's too long for a 3 lap tracks, but that the only thing
Isn't it just a highly detailed recreation of the Lakeside Park from Tour though (and yes, I watched the video)?
@@GlitchanBlackI don’t remember the tour version letting you go inside the volcano (and actually having a complex track layout)
Don't even remind me of that tour garbage. 🤢🤮
I know everybody loves this rendition of Lakeside Park (which IS very good), but that Broken Pier tho!
Seriously I have never wanted a track in MK8 so badly before. Lol
OMG, The GBA Rainbow Road looks so cool 😱😱🤩🤩🤩🤩
Agreed
Se ve bien, pero pierde su identidad, ya que la cosa que la distinguía de las demás eran como siendo uno buen jugador podía acortar camino, solo que como es de GBA los controles no ayudan.
This recreation of Lakeside Park is infinitely better than the Tour version for the main reason that it actually feels like a Special Cup track.
Nope. You can barely see any turns coming. Everything else is better than tour but you can’t see anything coming because the camera screws it up
@@sahaprocks7751 What are you talking about? The camera angle is fine.
@@gsb300 ok yea but too many blind turns
@@sahaprocks7751 Oh okay. Call me crazy, but the more you play on this course and know where to go, the more it starts to grow on you.
@@gsb300 but for other tracks I could see the turns coming right in front of me. Not here tho

Mario Circuit: Exists in MK8
MarioPower55: “I’m gonna act like I didn’t see that”
It's probably because of how different Mario Kart 8's GBA Mario Circuit looks. Or maybe he genuinely forgot.
apparently its a remix
Yoshi Desert looks like it could actually be from the game. The lighting is really good.
Happy to see them all in this game! MKSC has some of the most underrated and under represented tracks in all of Mario Kart imo and some of these remakes/ports do them justice imo.
Except for Sky Garden, apparently they all hate that track so much...
The remake on its own is good, just isn’t the best adoptation
Words cannot describe how much I want GBA Bowser Castle 3 and/or 4 in the BCP. They are both beautiful tracks 🥲
This is absolutely crazy!! How can this fanmade version of Lakeside Park be 10 times better than Nintendo’s tour remake?!
Wow some of these were awesome! In particular, Lakeside Park looks exactly like what Lakeside Park would have looked like if it were in the original Mario Kart 8 :o
Man Super Circuit got so much love in 8 and I'm glad that not only it's getting more recognition but also that people are giving these tracks 8 style makeovers. (Before 8, GBA tracks were faithful to a fault, which considering how flat the GBA tracks were, it was often less than impressive.) I gotta say though people seem to have some issues with lighting; lots of times things tend to blend in and be hard to see. Still impressive remakes, but just a consistent issue I've noticed. Anyways impressions:
Peach Circuit: A bit on the primitive side as far as looks go, but functionally it's basically done and very faithful. Yeah it's the Tour version which means it's shrunk down a lot but since it's a relatively simply course anyways there's not much to really race on anyways, so I think it's fine.
Shy Guy Beach: I really love the recontextualization from a more "conventional" beach (that's in the middle of nowhere) to a little alcove area. Makes the place feel a lot cozier (though I kinda miss the pirate ship in the background). The bit at 1:30 with the more "normal" looking trees does look a bit strange, and the glider ramp and coins feel like they were put in very odd spots also. But the lens flare at 1:46 is a neat little detail.
Bowser Castle 1: Not much I want to say here; faithful to the 7/Tour version. The lighting does seem a bit underdone though.
RMX Mario Circuit: This track is GBA Mario Circuit in name only, and I can't say I care because holy crap. This was a track that was made with MK8's mechanics in mind and it shows. Lots of twists and turns that make it disorienting to immediately tell where you are (in relation to the ground) without making it confusing to know where to turn. Makes a lot of good use of all 3 dimensions to really make it seem like long and windy yet condensed at the same time. About the only issues I have are at 4:23 where you run into the issue of having a blind spot (which at least it compensated a little by being a straight path until the camera corrects itself) and at 4:43 where the camera for the glider gets a bit wonky. I do like the little detail that the bend earlier seems to sit on a stair of brick blocks at 4:40. Fantastic work all around.
Bowser Castle 2: Same as BC1, but I think this is where the lighting problems come into play here: The jumps at 7:16 to 7:20 blend into the floor, and while it's not the end of the world, it's also not super clear where those jumps are. Also while a completely faithful remake, the fact that BC2 has more obstacles means the flat terrain makes it harder to tell how close those obstacles are at a glance. (All 4 BC remakes have this problem, but I'd say it's the most noticeable in 2.) Also I'm also not a fan of how it reuses the BC1 "background" instead of BC2's own. (This was a problem in Tour as well, but since this is a custom track I kinda expected better attention to detail.) I get that they're going for faithfulness over originality, but I think it's to the track's detriment in this case. (It could also be due to the lighting though also.) In the very least I do like the two pillars that hold the starting line.
Luigi Circuit: Yep, it's Luigi Circuit all right. Some incomplete textures/models aside, it's.... faithful. And plain. And faithful.
Cheep Cheep Beach: Here's another track with a lighting issue, except unlike the Bowser Castles before, this one feels OVERdone instead of under. The drivable terrain looks as shiny as the ocean at some parts which is really distracting. Aside from that (and the fact that it's the Tour version which means it's cut down A LOT from the original), the opening beach area seems a bit empty but otherwise it's very well done.
Yoshi Desert: I can't imagine this one was very hard to do since it seemed like all the textures came from Dry Dry Desert. Again, the Tour-ified version which kinda sucks especially since imo I think Yoshi Desert already had a lot of track elements that would've translated well to a more modern remake yet none of said elements are there. Oh well, it looks great, and even got the Yoshi sphinx in the background down and the still Piranha Plants in the (quick)sand pits! Very solid, although I do miss the original and its two oases.
Bowser Castle 3: I don't have much else to say yet again, just the same things as with Bowser Castle 1. (Though the Mario Kart logo at the starting line in rainbow colors is very out-out-place lol)
Lakeside Park: Well this track is just amazing all around. I guess to start with a complaint, there's a few blind bends at the beginning that feel a bit mean. Outside of that, very phenomenal job at this remake. Layout is completely faithful to the original (maybe to a fault I'd say? it does seem like there are a lot of bends that just exist to fill out the time in the original), and I love the bits at 16:26 that give this track a slightly more cliffside look to it. I would've liked to see that area look maybe a bit more jagged and uneven so it looks more like a rocky mountainside? (Not to say that what they have here isn't already astounding.) And, oh my god the volcanic cave section is the icing on this already delicious cake. Lighting needs a bit of work there ofc but that's an amazing setpiece right there. Stellar job all around. (The MK logo at start though is the modern logo, 0/10 remake)
Broken Pier: Another track I'm not super vibing with. Aside from the slightly different atmosphere nothing in this feels like it stands out from Boo Lake, and really Boo Lake feels more dilapidated than Broken Pier does (though I feel like this might've been done to represent both in 8?). The anti-gravity section also seems extremely random. Like, there's no reason it should be raised like that and there's nothing really showing why it would be like that. Granted I get the feeling that this track is still WIP (the underside of the antigrav section has a weird texture, and there's no flag at the starting line to indicate where it is, and overall looks very empty and under-decorated).
Bowser Castle 4: Yikes what is this lighting. It's somehow very bright but also dark at the same time? Makes some of the tiled-untiled sections look like there are trick opportunities when there aren't. That aside, I very much love what they did here. Using banners to indicate anti-gravity sections is a super unique idea and given that they might be a bit harder to see it also helps with clarity as well. I think the section after the first anti-gravity section could use more depth like what Tour did with the BC4 remake (or really just the entire track as a whole), and likewise the section at the end with that second side path feels incredibly random. (Very cool but it looks pretty out-of-place.) Also could use a few more details like some support pillars under the track (given that there's a few glider ramps it makes the underside of the track visible and at a lot of points the track just looks like it's floating), but I do like most of what's here.
Rainbow Road: Man oh man I love this. I suppose to get complaints/issues out of the way first, I think using a dark/nighttime aestheic might not be great. Obstacles (namely the Goombas and coins at 20:27 to 20:30) are hard to see since they're covered up by the vibrant road. Likewise the Thwomps feel pretty out-of-place here as well (though I'm not sure how much of this is because they're the normal-looking Thwomps and not the SNES RR ones). A more superficial nitpick is that I kinda wish more was done with the anti-gravity, although I really do like that the whole track is in antigrav for some reason. And really this track is so vibrant and fun. The rainbow stars add a lot of color and detail to the track, and I love how at some parts the colored blocks throughout the game are just floating around in space. The design at the start line is also REALLY well done; makes it feel kinda like the start line for the SNES or N64 RR.
They added turns for Lakeside Park.
The exact opposite problem of Tour's. Ironic.
@@tomandthecats2.018 I don't think so? I was following a map of Lakeside Park and it seems fairly one-to-one.
@@Gamesmarts194 The area right after the bridge looks extended.
for broken pier - "nothing in this feels like it stands out from Boo Lake." that is kinda the point of it lol
The tour model for gba luigi circuit has been ported to mk8dx now, so you can also play on that one too.
Oh dang, I've never seen that Lakeside Park before. That looks quite nice and I like how the volcano was incorporated into the layout of the track.
I was waiting for this! I was NOT ready for that lakeside park! Dang it looks good, but it might be too long.
(Also, I think it would be nice if you could show the maps for the tracks if they have one)
(Also, also, I’m pretty sure there’s a tour model of Luigi Circuit that you can use in MK8DX made by fevirre)
What if in shy Guy beach, you could go inside the pirate ship
I was gonna say that there's a Tour model version of GBA Lakeside Park, but one you used I actually already like better! Wow!
The entire Special cup was godlike! Lakeside Park went unnecessarily hard and BC4 is one of the best BC's in this rendition. The Mario Circuit RMX and Shy Guy Falls were also some really good ones, that didn't have any tour renditions to base it on. Kudos to all creators!
Lakeside Park looks AMAZING, the assets from Grumble Volcano and the Animal Crossing track work really well for this
thank god you actually put the music once the time trial starts and not before
> redoing GBA Mario Circuit from base MK8
> leaving Tour-defiled GBA Sky Garden from BCP as-is
What
GBA Mario circuit is RMX mario circuit, a completely different track
The music for rainbow road makes me happy!
Lakeside Park looks amazing! It reminds me of a circuit race from Jak X: Combat Racing.
Now we can finally say it: EVERYONE IS HERE!
This is gonna be good
How have I never seen that lakeside CT before? It’s not the tour one, and it looks so much better! Good scale too. The tour one is way too short.
Actually, it's because I commissioned Trunksdaniel to make it!
@@MarioPower55 NICE!
Love now we nearly have every Mario Kart track EVER now in MK8 (DX)
4:40 this shot is so cool! Really shows that Nintendo could use antigrav in more creative ways
If they bring it back in the next game, they should really do something like that. It’s genuinely really cool track design.
OMG Riverside park looks so good they should add it to the base game 💀
Um, they already did.
about time this comes out
ngl i would love to see your race against the A.I when showing off these courses, feels like it could be a fun challenge
Really cool idea for bcp
May i ask, why gba peach circuit are added to remix,
In mario kart 8, nintendo added a gba mario circuit song, change it back to gba/wii u theme in gba mario circuit?
Is there a link for the rainbow kart over the gold combo?
As a super circuit fan, this is amazing!
Everything Is So Beautiful! ❤❤❤
Any reason why the lighting is weird on a lot of the fan made ones?
Lakeside Park is LEGENDARY!
I heavily appreciate the verticality. Too many old school 2D courses are kept flat
LAKESIDE PARK LOOKS GOATED
Wasn’t bowsers castle 1 in mariokart 7. Good video by the way.
yeah it was
All of the special cup tracks look amazing!🤩
What's wrong with BC4?
What do you mean BC4 looks great and Broken Pier looks mediocre
@@MadMaxxed1224 my slander was pretty uncalled for. I originally said it because the lighting just looks awful.
I kind of wish Nintendo remade Mario kart super circuit and made it like with Mario kart 8 graphics and the tracks that originally in super circuit can be remade much better while keeping the charm that made that game and tracks charming.
Holy crap, that Cheese land, and Ribbon road remakes look so amazing, it’s almost like nintendo made them themselves
The Lakeside Track is the signature track for this video!
Why not just put the 8 version instead of the CT RMX? (Mario Circuit)
Honestly, I just felt like it would be fun to showcase the Custom Track over Nintendo's track as I absolutely love the CT!
Wow. Lakeside Park looks absolutely STUNNING. It looks straight out of the bcp!!!
Lakeside park feels like it could have been a dlc track back on the wii u
GBA Ribbon Road got such a glow-up
I love the Lakeside Park mod, but it suffers from the exact opposite problems the Tour version suffers from. The track is too long, and it looks like the modders **added** turns. Don't get me wrong, this is 100% better than Tour's catastrophe, but my favorite version of this track is still that one CTGP-7/Wii track.
@@gsb300 You literally go into a volcano where you can fall into lava. This track just copied that one. Sure, this one has better graphics, but it's been made even longer than a faithful layout should be.
@@gsb300 Also, I meant the CTGP-7 reimagined version. Look it up.
Why was the OG MK8 GBA Mario Circuit omitted?
Bro can we get full versions of these songs somewhere? ANYWHERE??
Hey! Every song that I added into the video is in the description (with links). The ones that I did not list are just the music that you hear normally on the tracks
Ok, broken pier looks unreal holy
We need this for Mario kart wii as well
Why didn't u use gba mario circuit that's already in the game?
I kinda disagree with the decision to re-theme Shy Guy Beach to be a cove instead of a beach.
What happened with GBA Mario Circuit?
I can't believe the modders didn't add the space background to Cheese Land and added those little mousey enemies, smh
I really like the Broken Pier one
Where is mario circuit? My favorites are cheese land, ribbon road, sky garden, snow land, boo lake, riverside park, and sunset wilds
So 8 GBA tracks are in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Will there be more? Which track is more likely to be in Booster Course Pass Wave 6?

I wish they made better stats for the golden kart
damn it nintendo, you see track like ribbon road and cheese land and say "no way is the same track" and then the dlc has crap like sunset wilds that cant even change the sun and sky garden with gamecube graphics
Broken Pier is awesome!
Bruh, Lakeside Park was slappin' harder than my ex!
Honestly cannot tell if these are modded or official, haven’t played MK in so long
Looking at that Lakeside Park, I am suddenly greatful for what Tour gave us. This looks incredible, but good LORD I am not a fan of those turns.
Shoutout to whoever modder did Ribbon Road I aspire to be as talented as them

Honestly, 7's is better. This one is too long.
@@tomandthecats2.018Why does every mario kart fan have the attention fan of a goldfish, nothing wrong with a longer track
@@littlejameshargreaves I am aware. That's why I don't like the Tour version.
On the other hand, this version is adding turns and making the track longer, which is as unnecessary as removing them and making the track shorter.

The Lakeside Park remake has good visuals, but there are so many blind turns. That’s not good course design. It needed the simplification because it wouldn’t be great to drive on.

Lakeside Park's adjustments were a nice surprise! And -- I have nothing against ZPL, he creates really cool tracks, but -- I love Broken Pier, but this version looks a bit... amateurish to me. ZPL, sorry buddy. I like your stuff, but not every track can be a winner.
For the most part, these tracks are amazing and I wish they were all in the basegame. However, a few could still use some work. Especially all four bowsers castle tracks, Luigi Circuit, and Shy Guy Beach. Otherwise these are great.
That's the wrong Sky Garden
Because this track is not in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
So, I saw another comment like this. I went onto the DLC and played the Sky Garden in the wave. Did I accidentally play a custom track instead?
Bowser's Castle 4 has a horrible color palette. You can think it's a road but it could be a wall with all those orange variants
Why y can’t some of these levels be real just why
