I've never understood why the profession of artist is the only one that is expected to be poor if not outright starving. No other profession is expected to be in this state. Artists, like everyone else, need food in their belly, clothes on their back, shelter and medicine like everyone else who all have their own professions to survive and thrive. This paradigm needs to change.

You're absolutely right. The stereotype of the starving artist is outdated and unfair. Artists deserve fair compensation for their work just like anyone else. It's time to shift this paradigm and recognize the value of creativity in our society.
