Awesome, Evan is a true Artisan, and he seems like an accessible nice guy as well. Thank you Rob, for bringing us into the workshop to see where and how the magic happens as individual humans master small replications of the original creative act.
That was great. Thanks Rob, and thank you Evan, you are a true master. ( I see Evan has 2 of those NICE stiddy's. "NICE" because they have that thinner tine on the one end. The thinner tine fits neatly inside most blade wells of folders. That enables the cutler to remove & totally replace & peen on new scales/covers WITHOUT having to disassemble the entire knife. Smart. VERY smart. )
HAHAHAHA!!!!.......Had to pause the video just long enough to remark on Evan's "COOR'S LIGHT".......HAHAHAHA!!! Maybe I'm too easily amused, but man, that is too funny. :o)) ....Ok.....on with the show....
Thankyou for the videos. Definitely one of my favorite and most talented knife makers that I follow. Really shows how much work and love he puts into his knives.
That is an impressive shop. Can you share what type of equipment you used when you first started? I guess I am wondering what tools are needed to get started making.
Also curious how you make your blades. Where do you source your blade metal and what does that early stage look like? Are you jig sawing the blades out of a sheet of metal?
That shop is amazing.

Great Video!!! Where do you get your pivot bushings? Do you make them yourself?
