I love the way he pursued her without getting mad or aggressive when rejected but trying over again, showing her understanding and compassion, trying to see her good qualities, protecting her. He never gave up on her. Usually it's quite unusual for a man with such riches and status to chase one woman for too long if he can get another one. They would normally see it as self humiliation. Lord Babington is the true hero of Jane Austen style Regency romantic stories!

The actor playing Esther is my favorite! I especially love the scene when she talks to Lady Denham on her deathbed. I feel happy that Lor Babington and Esther got their happy ending, but sad that Charlotte and Sidney didn't. Good edit!

If you think that a loving, sincere, real, truthful, sexual relationship between a man and a woman can exist without sexual attraction, without passion, without satisfying sexual life... then we have different opinions obviously. He's the only Austinian romantic hero in the darn thing. I'm not a fan of the TV series Sandition; it just doesn't feel authentic to the author to me, probably because it was barely started when she passed away. It feels like they tried to put Austen and 50 Shades of Grey in a blender, but Janites don't dig mean, aggressive, hurtful men. Babington is everything Sidney is not, and plenty handsome, thank you very much, and best of all, he doesn't take his fury out on all women because of a vague reference to a bad breakup.
