In 2011, Gurgaon Ki Awaaz entered into a pathbreaking partnership, the first of its kind in India, with Sesame Workshop India Trust, the makers of the Galli Galli Sim Sim children's television program. In order to reach the children of lakhs of migrant worker families, Galli Galli Sim Sim used the power and reach of community radio. Through the series of radio programs, adapted from the television series, GGSS was able to take the message of basic life skills to lakhs of young children from the ages of 5 to 10 years of age.
