Happy New Month of October!
Deaf Awareness Month just ended and now it's National Disability Employment Awareness Month!
Many employers still think Deaf people are incapable of working. Sigh. Many of us don't want to rely on government assistance. But in order to make our own money, we need a job! To get a job, we need hearing people to stop putting up walls and instead give us a chance. Sure, we need accommodations (which are required by law) but that shouldn't stop you. There are so many options out there and many are easily attainable.
