I find it to be an easy plant , I’ve propagated it in water , spag and have some in Leca , fast grower on a moss pole , can’t believe you found it at HD crazy 💚👍🏼 it loves to be to in a bag with spag to root .
I got a wetstick to propagate a year ago and it's growing beautifully. Probably put out 15 leaves so far. I lost a few because I made the mistake of burying the petioles too deep. It puts out one leaf per month like my Deliciosa.
God damn, your plant is probably the bushiest, healthiest, lushest monsters siltepecana I ever saw on the internet. Yeah, some are bigger growing on moss poles, but yours doesn’t have a single brown/damaged leaf. Literally a perfect plant and they are hard to keep that way. I have mine for a year and she’s doing okay, but I def messed up with watering coz some leaves are brown
Thanks for sharing. There aren't many videos on this plant. I found my one likes to be moist too. I keep it on a pebble tray and make sure it always has water in the tray. I also thought I could treat it like a pothos but learnt it wasnt the same 😤 hand on for sure
Well I'm glad it isn't just me who thinks shes a little bit of a diva. Grows so fast, but you definitely have to be careful w the watering! Thanks for watching!! 😊💕
A lot of good tips! I got my siltepecana last year expecting it to be a easy plant (monstera genus, right?). I could not have been more wrong. It grows soooo slow for me. Going to take some of your advice to give it some help.
Beautiful Monstera Stilepecana!! New plant to me and love her leave design 🤗👍. Her propagation was beautiful and looked easy. Congrats on this gorgeous lady. Did you get her locally or did you have to import her? Would love to acquire a young one if you know a resource 🤗👏💕
I got it local!! I'll have cuttings available in my shop soon! Link is in the description, and I always post in IG. Happy to set some aside for you if you shoot me a message 😊
What do you think was the issue with the yellow leaves? I just found one at Lowe’s and it sounds like mine has the same problem. If your soil was super wet what did you do to help dry it out? Thank you! 💚
Congratulations on finding one!!! I'm almost positive it was from inconsistent watering, but honestly it still happens a little bit, even with propagations, so I just keep treating it and keeping an eye out for anything strange. It seems happy though, and it grows like crazy, so I dont stress it too much!! To dry it out I removed the bottom of the hanging basket and placed it on a towel in the sun! Some people recommended pulling out the whole plant from the container and placing it on newspaper or paper towel, but that sounded too messy for me 😂
@@jaclynns.jungle that’s so helpful! I ended up taking the bottom off of the nursery pot for the future and took the plant out to dry. Luckily no rot but very wet so I’m hoping it dries out and the yellowing slows down.
Mine slowed down after a few weeks and then I trimmed it to get rid of sparse spots. She's grown like mad since!! Just give it time and it'll be fine 😊
how do you repot it? I have just finished repotting mine and added a bunch of rooted cuttings and it was a nightmare. It has like 15-20 vines, I grabbed all of them in one hand and just covered it with my mix but I am not satisfied with the result. it just does not look elegant. do you have a better way to do this?
I had this plants for months sitting in a coco chunky mix. It did nothing, I move it to DIY Pon, it grows a new sprout over night.
That's good to know! Whats left of mine have been happy in moss!

Glad to help! They're definitely more finicky than I anticipated lol
Beautiful 🤩 I bought mine from Steve’s Leaves in august during a restock, she’s a pretty fast grower, all things considered. Great tips🙌
Super fast grower! I think I'm going to put some cuttings aside and start them up a moss pole too!!😊💕
Great idea, they love to climb💚
Just found one today at Lowes! They had 3 but I only got one since I wasn’t even looking for it lol.

@@adamsk2624 you may have to individually place each vine, like a bouquet, until they lay how you want them
