Cool strat: be lvl 100, have every item and skip the hard part. For those who don't want to wait till the end of the game to beat kurt, cast Aer/Tink before he can put glowing hands out, this will help you facetank the spinning slash. There's no other time you NEED to cast Aer, but it can largely negate the balls that jump out of sand (during shield). Be sure you have enough MP to recast Aer once he gets up after shield breaks; any physical damage on the shield will drop MP. Finally, during his spin move, being between two dunes near the edge of the arena will negate the majority of the attack. He can only connect when he's vertical, which is easily dodge rolled.
Dudeeee. Omg.i know it was over a year ago. Buuut im at level 65 and i beat the crap outta KZ. So easy. I just did it and im literally shaking!! Thanks for the tips @Mateo Carrera. Using Tink and cast Aero was very smart
Lmao I laughed when I saw his levels and his ultima weapon and everything else. Basically the first minute. I’m not even gonna watch the rest this is a joke
I don't play Kingdom Hearts, but my girlfriend hands me the controller when she's stuck on a boss lol. This is how I beat Kurt; it took me many tries. This is with the staff and shield build btw with equipment that boosts MP and using rose blade. I also carried lots of mega potions, some hi potions, and some elixirs -Grinded for a while to level 60 (she was 45 or something when we first tried over and over). -Prepared Cura, Gravira, and Aeroa -Brought in Aladdin and Goofy with equipment that boosts their strength -Got in close to Kurt and bashed the orbs in his hands that prevent your magic, but rolled away when he started spinning his blades -Used Gravira when he was in his bubble, collecting blue orbs when I could. Had to time the spell properly so I didnt miss. Dumbo, Mushu, and Bambi are helpful at this part, but I dont think I used them at all on the final attempt when I won. Also, rolled like crazy to dodge the tornados and balls of fire or lightning or whatever they were -Smashed his head when he was down with my boys Aladdin and Goofy, keeping them healed up as best as I could at this part -Used Aeroa (or whatever the spell is called) before he could get up -Repeated the previous steps -Summoned Tinkerbell the second time he was down right before he got up in case I fucked up (didn't need her anyway on the final attempt) -Stayed close the the invisible wall on the border of the map when Kurt did his flying spinning moves, dodging left/right when he spun horizontally and dodging diagonally forwards left/right when he spun vertically This guy was fucking tough. Staying close the border of the map while Kurt flies is probably the best bit of advice I can give. He seems to not descend as far down, allowing you to dodge more easily.
You have to dodgeroll towards his direction as it spins down (whether vertically or horizontally). Do not dodge away from the boss because you will always get hit, the few times that didn't was because of the uneven terrain and you got lucky.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but I was level 65 and I used Aero at the beginning before it disables magic. Beat it's 1st phase. Then used thunder like notmal for it's second phase. Right before it disables magic for 3rd phase ( Assuming you have critical prevention on) summon tinker to continuously heal. So no matter how many times you get hit, you still stay above water.
I have a theory where I believe Kurt Zisa is Xaldin (Dilan)'s Heartless, The Blizzard Lord being Vexen (Even)'s Heartless and the Fire Lord being Axel (Lea)'s Heartless. I don't know who Ienzo and Alaeus' Heartless could be but I could figure it out.
You said one of the easiest, but god damn, for me he was the absolute toughest boss although I was probably somewhere around level 60 . He was the only optional boss I never beat and seeing you beat him so easily makes me feel a bit embarrassed.
yea this dude kinda a terrible example as he just over leveled and sped through bosses most people fought at the appropriate oe under level.... Kurt is one of the harder bosses...Cause this dude just tanked lethal moves that would put normal player down.
What did you Do? I'm 46 and he two shots my ass. I've tried everything I could in this game without UA-cam but this guy is just too dumb. I got to when he goes fidget spinner mode and he fucked me up both times.
Joey The Gamer at the beginning of the game you can fight wakka, some Hula hoop girl and titus and mashing attack on Titus gives good odds of deflecting an attack , granting you 1 xp per “tech” So with that in mind, you can “grind” your way to max level with enough time
stoneshatter12 that would take a bullshit amount of time, it would take you probably 5 days, if not more, to do it that way since it only gives 1 tech point
I was on proud and I was on level 62 i think and I managed to beat it in a couple of tries with the divine rose keyblade and Tinkerbell lol and I had 2 critical plusses 1 from the Keyblade and the other one from leveling up i think. Edit: this is from 5 years later and I hope you be able to read it :P
Ported to Aladdins house after Hollow Bastion and accidently tried fighting this dude at 45, Tinkerbell kept me in the right til his spin-o-destruction
Wow so I think I was a level 52 when I came across both secret bosses in neverland and Agrabah. Both opponents gave me nightmares I think I should’ve waited until I was a level 100 so I didn’t get hit with an instant ko. I had to acquire ars arcanum and second wind to get by the attacks where he starts spinning towards you
Prostrat for Kurt... Summon Tinkerbell...summon Tinkerbell for every fight. Tinkerbell keeps healing you, leaving more mp slots for Aero spells, and more room for spell casting.
I don't know if I'm mad or just stupid, but every optional boss and games in Olympus I did them with level 50. Kurt Zisa and Sephiroth just destroy me (especially Sephiroth, that guy is a freak...) but I did manage to bring them to green bar (still lost anyways). However the rest (Phantom and Hades games) they were a snack (especially Hades games).
I haven't played KH1 in multiple years, and I've never played Final Mix, I'm planning on getting it soon, but what precisely is the challenge of Kurt Zisa? Out of pure curiosity.
Its just annoying, but in this vers after beating him you get a combo finisher thats called zatsukuken. You have a 30-50% chance of triggering and 30-45% critical rate depending on what weapon you're using.
It's not that bad, I promise! If I was to make this series again though, I'd do a few things differently - thats for sure! Keep progressing the story, youll get it!
Just a few more hours for the Phantom, Sephiroth, and Unknown boss!!! :D Also, the final part will be going up in about 5 hours...but you may be asleep!
I'm lv 77 i used lion heart keyblade ... so i cast aeroga on sora Donald and goofy at once and pressed triangle to make then hit kirt zisa with all thier might and i mysled hit him. He was down twice and I defeated him. Literally took me 1 Minute and a half
Not hard? Yeah because you went at the dude with a shit ton of strength, all the parties ultimate weapons, and at a super high level. He's way harder if you don't have much hp
I'm trying to fight this guy at level 55 on Proud mode with Oathkeeper, items and the -ara spells. I can get him to third cycle but that spinning attack... If it wasn't for that spinning attack I'd have this dude done by now. I just gotta figure out that spin and then I can beat this dude.

You have to dodgeroll towards his direction as it spins down (whether vertically or horizontally). Do not dodge away from the boss because you will always get hit, the few times that didn't was because of the uneven terrain and you got lucky.

You roll back twice. It has poor reach.
