- Battlefield 2042 had a BIG update today and added 3 new guns, one of the is the Iconic AEK from Battlefield 3! This is great fun to use. Leave a LIKE and a comment, thanks for watching.

Portal guns not getting a full list of attachments is painful. Really makes them feel like they’re barely an option

It does have recoil, he is on PC with recoil-control.

Does this thing even have recoil? The visual recoil is basically 0.
This was my first thought aswell. No visual feedback at all.
IRL the weapon had an internal recoil mechanism (not sure how to describe it) that mitigated nearly all recoil and muzzle climb. It seems like they have modeled this in game.
@@critic7127no they haven’t? They are just lazy and cannot raise the competency that would be needed in order to make the guns feel alive. Look at all the other portal ARs. It’s like shooting a nerf gun. They simply feel dead.

@@critic7127 so you have gas rod that coming back and moving bolt to eject round and take new one, but what if you had same mass as bolt but while first moving back second moving forward, one of 3 recoil impulse is no longer a issue.
I was expecting this to be terrible but it actually performed great!

How does the weapon not bump at all between shots ? It stays completely flat
The real gun had a recoil migration system it is basically mechanical system that shifted the recoil in the internals for physics to make it near zero as u fired it. Google and There's videos of the internals. As for Bf2402 well replicate the recoil being low on it.
The internals are interesting af. The forward moving weight to offset the recoil is very interesting.
There's a setting you can turn off that makes the guns look like they have less recoil

it’s because UA-camrs play with such high FOV so they don’t have recoil.
Love the nostalgia of BF3 close quarters but more than that it’s just great to hear Jack having such a blast playing this game!

Ahh on of the favs from back in the day. Using it on burst mode you can actually hit some pretty long range shots. Accurate in burst and devastating up close in full auto.
The AEK was a staple of BF3 and its great to have it back. Great vid Jack fun as always.
as a falck main, watching jack go through the entire animation with falck's stim hurts. just shoot your feet, it's much faster

the aek was pretty balanced in bc2. it seemed to fire slower with more recoil, to compensate for high damage
They completely forgot what balance meant when they put it in bf4. One of the main reasons why I don’t play bf4 anymore is because that’s what all the sweats use and they abuse the janky movement making it almost impossible to hit them
@@GloomToon i mean its realistic, look at the as val being dominant in any video game. Its shoots at 900 rpm and bullet as fat as an ak’s bullet
@@m4j0r3x realism can only go so far in games. They could’ve added more spread to the gun to compensate for the rate of fire and damage or even reduced the mag size to 27 to compete with the famas. It just outshines all other assault rifles in the game is what I’m saying. They also did the AK12 dirty as well
@@GloomToon realism did ak 12 dirty, a 5.45 with only 650 rpm. Sure real life wise people would prefer that over faster firing high recoil weapon and the ak-12 exactly does that, a long range gun with decent recoil and slow fire rate. Aek being the powerhouse it is it wouldn’t make sense to nerf the damage or mag size because it’s literally rocking 6L23 30 rounders(btw 2042 acwr is the one being bullied with poor damage on a mediocre firerate performance with only 27 rounds), the only way to balance aek is giving it bunch of bloom and if you use it right now in 2042 its quite hard to perform at long range. As far as realism depiction with balancing 2042 is doing a good job at keeping high fire rate powerhouse within medium to close range only
@@m4j0r3x I wasn’t talking about 2042. Was talking about bf4s aek. And the ak12 could’ve did a bit more damage. Or they could’ve just added a 7.62 Ak instead of that underperforming ak12
the polaris razr is a side by side which is like a four wheeler with a chassis and maybe a back seat depending on how expensive you want urs to be

BF2042 might be the best BF I have ever played - it does unquestionably still need work though as I am getting CPU stutters.
It is a lot of fun hehe.. chaotic action with plenty of targets and a helluva amount of only in battlefield moments

Every time I watch Jack, it seems like the enemies can't shoot and I get all hyped up to jump in a game. Only to experience I die every fraction of a second I turn a corner or see someone.

You can actually swap some of the attachments on some of the portal guns. Didn’t realize until playing today. M16 in particular has a good range of options
So happy to see the AEK back! It's been my favorite since bf3, I used to be able to tap fire it perfectly back in the day

Surley the m16 is a competitive portal gun, I guess it doesn't have a great rate of fire, but it's such a great weapon at mid range, even long range. Love sticking on the noobtube, looks so 2003 merica invade the middle east vibes 😅😮 good times.

I dont think so.. I play with 105 fov and still have some crazy side recoil when u try to pull down.. I dont want to think this... but he maybe have some soft recoil or script..
@j.g5934 I don't really like the setting too much cause when you aim your gun doesn't zoom in as much so it's hard to hit far away targets, but most youtubers use the setting

The only thing that lets it down is the lack of magazines as you say, but also the reload time is abysmal!

I think the Portal weapons are underrated. The 416, P90, XM8 LMG, and GOL are among my regular weapons in AOW

The biggest issues with the portal guns is the velocity and bullet drop. You have to lead more than other guns and aim higher compared to the 2042 weapons.

Got thousands of kills with the MP443 in BFBC2, such a good pistol in that game!
There's already so many melt guns at short range. We need a competitor to the scar. The new ar they added is good but needs more attachments and a 40+ rd mag
Damn, I usually don't bother to unlock these kinds of guns, but the recoil difference between now and when this video was released points to a shadow nerf or a recoil macro.
