Presenting my favorite 22 NWOTHM releases of 2022...

- 2022 was the hardest year to keep on track with new releases. The lack of time, multiple jobs and family demands have taken up most of time. Just running the channel has become increasingly difficult, let alone listen to everything that's released. But even so, I ended up with an extensive list of great albums and had to make difficult choices to trim it down to 22.
Different from last year I won't have the "honorable mentions". There are too many albums that could've been part of this list and probably would be on a different day.
Thanks to the bands for keeping the flames alive (the 22 listed here and the hundreds that featured on the channel this year) and to you for listening to the channel.

I completely agree with my brother, a great channel, if I miss a couple of weeks, then there is a big buzz on Saturday evening to listen to all the news that I missed and read all the wonderful comments. Thanks for the hard work and all HMR 🤘🤝
In this year of 2022, many excellent new bands came out and several existing bands maintained the quality, some bands were a bit weak, but it happens, you can't have everything you want. Anyway, this collection is excellent, greetings from Brazil.

I recognized Iron Griffon right away. Those sludgy Sabbathy riffs, with the haunting almost 70's space rock vocals is just killer.
I noticed it was Iron Griffin also because I looked at the name and it immediately clicked in my head that it was Iron Griffin
Phantom Spell, Evil Invaders, Iron Griffin, Venator, Ironflame - damn good ones.
My favs:
Monasterium, Iron Griffin, Fer de Lance, Sacral Night, Venator, Doublegeddon & Vórtize.

I really love Riot City but I was a little disappointed with the new album, it’s in no way bad but I don’t think it lives up to the first record. Iron Griffin, Wings of Steel, and Eliminator are all fantastic. In a similar vein to Iron Griffin, Parish and Riders of Rohan put out excellent albums with that early metal type vibe.
Wings of Steel actually really reminds me of the classic metal band Riot, who happen to be one of my personal favorites.

Not the best year in music for my tastes overall (my highlights were largely in the Black and Power Metal genres this year), but there were a few gems I really got into, namely Sumerlands, Evil Invaders and Hellfire to name a couple from this list.
