Who am I?
I'm a first-year Eco student in the U.K. 🇬🇧
Interested in my ethnicity? Well, I'm mixed. (Japanese-Pakistani) 🇯🇵 🇵🇰
I was born in Japan but I grew up in Pakistan. (I did live some part of my life in Japan and visit it here and there)
I speak English and Urdu fluently, while Japanese is conversational (I need to practice lol) and I can understand Punjabi.

I'm a Pathan n both of em speak much better Urdu then me 😂
Really happy to see that you are proud of your Punjabi heritage as well. One of the bigger fears is that children of men/women marrying outside of their ethnic background are not cognizant of their heritage.
It’s sad to not give as much respect to the other culture because then it means you are probably avoiding and thus missing the beautiful and rich parts of the other culture.
@@HiroyoshiSato I agree, children from interracial marriages need to walk a really fine line since both cultural heritages ask for certain sacrifices. Its always better to try to find the middle path between strict adherence and complete rebellion.
I have seen a few of your videos, and am happy to see how your journey is progressing. More power to you and your friend.
are you me or am i you ? Either way I agree :D
Ohhh i wat hed your first video and now this defintley gotten better in front of camera ! ~
I am British Pakistani. My neice loves Japan and is learning to speak the language. Sadly I don’t think she knows her mother tongue Urdu. I will send her this.
This was interesting to watch! Most people find the Japanese/Pakistani hybrid to be pretty rare but it’s surprisingly quite common and it’s a cool mix. I have met a couple of Japanese-Pakistanis myself.
I kind of have a question but it’s pretty controversial and I thought if you could talk about it at some point? (But I totally understand if you don’t want to).
I’m honestly hesitating a lot typing this out but… there was this one guy at my university who talked about how his parents met but the story is pretty sad. (His dad basically was an illegal immigrant in Japan and he groomed his now-wife who was a teenager back then while he was an adult and technically only married her so he could have a shot at getting citizenship.)
It didn’t leave a good impression on our other peers to say the least and there’s been some negative talk around it actually. It definitely doesn’t help the image it’s creating for Pakistanis and it certainly wouldn’t help Pakistanis who are in interracial relationships.
Yup I have heard stories of guys going in for the girls and citizenship when overseas.
Firstly, I suppose it’s just Pakistan has suppressed the expression of sexuality which make them chase foreign girls in my opinion. Plus the benefit that comes with the Pakistani nationality are so few that it makes people change their nationalities.
Of course not all are like this e.g my father’s main goal was to support his family, so he achieved that first and then got married. He still doesn’t have a Japanese citizenship lol cuz it’s not easy to get naturalised.
@@HiroyoshiSato Do you have a Japanese citizenship? As your mother is Japanese. If yes can you do a video about it? Thanks!!
Japan Mai tow phir bhi respect milti hai lykin Korea Mai Pakistaniski insult hi hai
Amazing.
We native Assamese people are half Mongoloid (East Asian + Southeast Asian) and half Caucasian (South Asian) 😃

Really genuinely fascinating. Which side of your family is from Pakistan? How did your pakistani parent come to Japan? How did your parent meet their Japanese spouse? Must be an interesting story.
My father went to Japan for work and my parents got together through work/business as well. If you wanna know more about my hafu experiences then some of the first vids might cover that :))

Arigato Gozai Masta, Hiroyoshi San, i came to the video from a famous youtube(Our Vines) group's side channel where i saw Suzuki Sa, I at age 35 still see Japanese Anime and love them, I can relate things based on my kids, Canadian Pakistanis, i think Qasim has identity crisis, he has typical stereotypes about Pakistan, my kids know French(quebecers), English, Urdu and understand Punjabi, but as a parent i told them all hard facts about Pakistan and All hard facts about Canada, and the mind set Qasim has about Pakistan is because in my opinion he havent lived too much outside Pakistan.
My kids have lived in both places and they have accepted merits and de merits of Pakistan.
This behaviour is usually constructed by parents when they praise 1 country over the other too much, kids will always have identity crsis, stereotypes etc a balanced realistic view is what is required, i am sure kids have total awareness of Japanese dark sides of the things.
Oh that’s good that you still love anime cuz it’s definitely has grown bigger as an industry so you have more animes to choose from. Plus people do not see it just as a cartoon anymore but rather an entertainment medium for all ages.
Secondly, it’s good that you have gotten the kids to connect and understand both the countries’ culture, pros and cons. I myself would have been just a day dreamer if I hadn’t been aware. People do glorify a country when they haven’t lived and seen a lot of the issues of that country. Well each country has it’s own good points and drawback (as you said) but in the end you need experiences in order to know that. Sometimes you have to accept the pros and cons and just settle down for the good.
The guy on the right with the wrist watch (who complaint of being discriminated for his Japanese look ) doesn't even look Japanese. He looks like a normal Pakistani, also his accent is normal urdu , not Japanese. But the guy on the left has Japanese facial features, and his Punjabi accent gives the original vibes , He can say that he looks Japanese and he seems more accepting of his origin.
agree .! but when people come to know that he isn't.. they just simply let them down . people will just simply pin point things to make you insecure. kire nikalna adat hai loogon ki 😂
@@girlyshow1018 im half pakistani half phillipino remmember being called a cheena at school 😂😂😂
Love from Pakistan
You should be interviewed by Takahashi from japan
We had a japanese language teacher as a tenant and she offered to teach me, I was too busy with tutors as a kid, *and* we had a half japanese family as neighbors (fun fact the father did the Urdu TV show Godfather). I regret never learning. Weirdly I've been obsessed with Go/いご forever, i know enough characters to do tsumego books and stuff.
Both Japanese and Urdu have an SOV (subject object verb) word order, but how similar or easier could it be (apart from characters of course) for people who speak Urdu to learn the grammar etc. I really want some info on this, it's not a conversation you get to have often, and you have the background to comment on it. Please if you could do an intro to the language from the perspective/insight you have speaking English, Urdu and Japanese, maybe you could elaborate on how similar or difficult or easier to understand it might be for urdu speakers. I suspect in some ways it might be a lot easier than having grown up on only English.
Yeah I noticed the SOV form but the Urdu and Japanese are both really different. Especially, they have different root families, making it harder to learn. As any East Asian Language have isolated language history so it that make it harder for the people outside of those countries to master these languages.
You can ask me in detail questions on my insta if you want to know further about how to learn or understand the differences between Urdu and Japanese.
Koun o 🤞
You look like a south korean actor park solomon
I love you both ❤️ you are both half pakistani is very surprising to me 🙉

Sato San i really want to learn japanese language please help me?
Its not about visiting the country maybe some day i would come two reasons i am trying to learn japanese one is my love for anime second is Kyokushin
I would recommend learning the basic Japanese characters through an app like Duolingo and then switch to a text book e.g Minna no Nihongo, Genki or whatever you have available. Everyone have their own learning style but one of the best way to learn is to read. You can start reading children’s books and then slowly transition to books that are at higher level. If you have anymore questions just ask them here on insta. Best of luck!
I am also from sialkot
Lovely to hear that :))
Long live pakistan, god bless pakistan . God bless Japan , a strong nation , a resilient nation just like pakistan

Well around 3 more more or less fluently. While if you consider Punjabi than 4. Other than that I wanna properly learn Spanish and Chinese. Hopefully in future that is.

i mean u guys r exagerated the whole disscussion about pakistan just for views. ur face feautures are not that much strong japnese or chinese. u both look more pakistani if u did not tell us that u r half japanese. in pakistan there r lot of boys who look likes u..in pakistan there r lot of minorities. pakistan is a diverse nation. in karachi we see gilgir baltistani who r truely purely looks korean. pakistanis r not that much racist.
We never said we have strong features of either side or exaggerated about the situation. We described both sides of how we were treated.
When you have a heritage and name attached to you then people tend to call you out for that reason. People target you for any reason that they can find, you can be black, fat or whatever. For us it was being Half. If you watched the whole video then you could see that I never said that people were racist but rather pretty accepting in my school life.
Also I don’t see the point of stating that Pakistan is diverse so discrimination cannot occur. America or UK is diverse and have different races and people still face racism. I am not saying Pakistan is racist but my main point is that what I have experienced is not fully experienced by you or anyone else. So, stop being so hind-sighted and try to think from other people’s perspective. Your comment undermined experiences of several other people not just me because you think it’s exaggerated and cannot happen.
@@HiroyoshiSatolol he's tripping, you guys definitely look japanese with some pakistani features. It's cool to see a combination like that and your cultural experiences are very unique. There are more asian looking pakistanis in the north but they look more central asian/mongolian(to outsiders all asian phenotypes look the same but that's not true there are differences). Abdullah Maroof does get treated kinda differently sometimes when people are surprised that he can speak Urdu perfectly. It's not racist necessarily(sometimes people behave a little ignorantly or strangely) it's just interesting to notice. I'm glad people were accepting of you in school life, most people seem chill but I do want to hear from the people themselves so thanks for sharing.
Pakistanis can be racist sometimes.
no we dont look purely korean, what are u talking about lmao
