Can't believe how incredibly quiet they are. Admittedly they are not loaded up, but it seems they really are a whole new chapter in loco technology. Not sure I am sold on the horns.
Great video!! I thought they looked like they had a pantograh when they were unloaded from the ship because any other loco of this type I have seen were dual power. Did you see any on top of these locos? These two note horns are of the European style.
@samocooper9070 sounds like a plan... only hear say at the moment. But 3ft 6" locomotives are in short supply here and progress rail are the only ones doing any major mechanical servicing overhauls and rebuilds .

I am already
Great shots, cannot see how one would not see those lights as they approach a level crossing, quiet loco's, quieter than the DL's.
EMD ? Or something else
Built by stradler in Spain with v12 catapiller engines

You are still a few years away from dual or tri mode in the SI !!!
Maybe even generations or eons
@@mikewiltshire1725 Stadler Euroduals all over Europe for the last few years
Damn I was hoping they’d be as loud as the British 68s lol
Any Kiwi Drivers able to comment on their performance? I'm a Driver in Queensland Rail and we were told we might be getting these locos as well.
I'll let you know next year when more than just the chosen few are allowed to touch them haha
