Dan Lee was, among other things, one of Bruce Lee's 1st students in LA, when Bruce opened his chinatown school there in 1967. He was also an amateur boxing champion in China as a young man, a kenpo student of Ed Parker's (along with Dan Inosanto), he continued to teach & train in jeet kune do after Bruce Lee's death, as well as teaching tai chi chuan for decades until his passing a few years ago.

Bruce didn’t certified Dan Lee he did not trust him. He said Dan does not get it close all the schools immediately.
