Im from West Philly. When I was younger I wanted to play basketball. My mother wouldn't let me because she was scared I may become a"lesbian"🤦🏾♀️. But she knew I loved Dawn, so when Dawn had a basketball camp at the Browns rec center in North Philly she let me go and O.M.G I had an amazing time. Dawn worked with me on all my moves. Till this day I have a better jump shot than all 3 of my sons and my husband! I'm so proud of her, just an amazing person 💗

Absolutely love Dawn Staley, even before moving to Columbia, SC. She is truly an inspiration to these young people.
Dawn Staley is one of the baddest women's basketball players to do it. Sheryl Swoopes and Lisa Leslie got a lot of attention during her time. I never understood why she didnt get the recognition they did. She's like AI or Gary Payton on the court. She played with guys growing up. She had mad handles in the 90s. Untouchable. I always wondered what happened to her. I am so glad she found success in her sport as a coach. So happy she is getting her flowers now. 💐 👏👏
