I got hooked on blackberry with my passport but it is at the end of it's life. So thank you for this video. I have gotten me a key2 Le. Blackberry forever 💕
I have a Key2. I love it! It's my favorite phone my problem is it's battery is shot. I charge it 2-3 times a day depending on how much I use it/ how close to dead I let it get. And the repair place said a new battery is no guarantee. Can't wait for the new phone I will be pre-ordering I HATE touch screen keyboards.
Still carry my Leap for calls, texts, 5 email accounts, radio (Nobex now that rad.io no longer works), Password Keeper, WhatsApp, Facebook, Navfree, Music Search (free downloads), ID3iot and others. And the stock BB10 apps for music, calculator, file manager, BlackBerry keyboard, calendar, calculator, contacts are still superb. Also have a Passport and Classic but the Leap suits me best. Use my Priv for bank apps and serious browsing. Appreciate all you do to keep the BlackBerry flag flying!
I really enjoy using my Key2 Le red. It's light, fast and easy on my thumbs. A big improvement on the Key One. I never had a Passport because Verizon didn't support it though I was interested. It certainly intrigued me. I went to the Torch 2 (aka Storm 3) upgrading from my Storm 2. Unfortunately the Torch froze after a Verizon update. They replaced it with a Z 10. I also had the BB 10 and Classic (which was a good solid, sturdy phone). Wanting more apps I went with the Priv when it became available. My local Verizon had one in stock. One had to ask to see it. I don't feel Verizon promoted the phone or BB in general after the Classic. I loved the Priv with the full touch screen and sliding keyboard. Overheating was a big problem. It was my phone until the Key One.
I haven't used a physical keyboard phone since the Palm (HP) Pre 3, but man do I miss those real keys! I've never owned a Blackcurrant but still get tempted when a new one comes out.
Watching this in December and hearing him say on new blackberry in the first half of 2021 breaks my heart a little I held out for so long for the new blackberry and they just never delivered I ended up having to get the new iPhone instead
I would totally agree, if it's a BB10 device to use , my passport silver edition. Is still great, and you can find ways round app issues. A Tank of a phone. The priv, I had one and used for a year or so, and again it was a great phone, loved the slide out keyboard , the screen was great , the camera was great. I didn't have any issues with my battery or over heating, so I was lucky. But I agree, finding one now, with no issues may be difficult. The key one, if you want one of these, again definitely go for the black edition, it is better, and you can tell the difference. I had a silver and a black edition when I was useing key one's. When it comes to Key2's - I have a key 2 (silver) , have had it since they came out, not one issue with it, it's been a work horse of a phone for me, business and personal use. It is EPIC. Best keyboard on a blackberry. Battery life still very good. Camera on the key2 - day time shots can be epic. It's the night shots that let the phone down. And I still think it's a very close run thing between the camera's on key2 and the key1.
Thanks for the comprehensive review Adam. Still using the KeyOne and can agree with the lag on the 3GB. Waiting for the new BB. Are you virtually going to CES to see if OnwardMobility reveals anything?
I am not sure why this hangover with BB. I used BB for 10 years (before Android ones came in ) and still have a Key2 and Classic . However I switched to iPhone since some time and you can secure that as well using Mcafee app and other options . Thus the “secure phone” isn’t a differentiator for BB anymore . More so when there are no firmware updates .
Physical keyboard, which has certain legacy conventions and shortcuts. Also, the keyboard is a trackpad - we would really want to have a cursor, then a mobile OS could suck a lot less.
Do you think blackberry will ever reopen their services on the older blackberry’s e.g torch, bold and curve ? I have 5 all brand new I would love to use these phones again 🙌🏻
late last year AT&T sent me a text notification saying that my device at the time (Blackberry Classic) will not work anymore on their network. About 2 weeks later, i couldn't make any calls anymore. Data would still work, but no voice. I had to switch...
Yes, it was an AT&T Blackberry Classic, and actually, I got it off the shelf in the Burbank, CA store, possibly being the last person who did that there since not long after, the Blackberry was available only thru online purchase. When the phone stopped working, I took it to the store (obviously everyone was blown away that I still use a blackberry), but after about half-hour of them testing with various SIM cards and countless restarts, they pretty much said that the issue might be related with their Voice over LTE. Sad that I had to change phone brands since I always was a Blackberry user since the release of the 7100 model back in the day...
I was wondering if you might answer this question:how secure and/or safe is the Key2, and how do these categories stack up against the Classic? I am asking because. I am genuinely curious about the security of the Key2 given its dependence on Google.
Still use BlackBerry Q10 SQN100-3 and BlackBerry Aurora BBC100-1 for my daily driver. Nice recommendation for BlackBerry Key2 LE but it is hard to find in my country.
My wife's Detek just kicked the bucket. (It's asking for the barcodes.) All 3 of my torches have finally died. What's a reliable outlet to get a Key2-LE to hold her till the new BlackBerry is out. (I'm still on my Key one)
Finally found a like new in box motion for a reasonable price at $150 cad rather than the outrageous prices ($250-450 cad) ppl are normally asking. This is going to be my backup phone till I get the new blackberry as my second phone. The only thing that’s making me want to cry about the motion is to find a good case for it. I can’t find any good cases. Esp been trying to find a new old stock of the incipio cases I remember you reviewed a long long time ago, but no luck. I settled with a transparent tektide case, but sadly their clear cases tend to yellow from prior experience. Love the phone but had the accessories situation.

Just purchased a "Classic." Am satisfied with it. Do not appreciate BB turning it's back on it's users by dcing OS10. A good way to loose customers. Have read "OM" looking for backers because of lacking finances. Tentative at best?
I haven't heard that. There are a lot of rumor mill opinions going around. This is not public information if so and I'm pretty sure they would have needed to have the necessary capital from the get go or blackberry would not have entered into the licensing agreement just so they could be embarrassed and hurt the brand name. That would be a terrible business decision
You don’t mention the Priv. I still maintain that the slide phone is a brilliant concept. I bought my Priv Pre release and it helped me when doing inspections on construction sites. I previously had the Torch slide. The Priv Battery was causing problems after 3years and have just sold it for £70.
Hello , I wanted to know , if you have a blackberry keypad classic phone , can this be used to call and text in india ? Does internet can be accessed on this device ?
Good afternoon. I am a happy user of a BB Passport. I actually use two phones: Blackberry Passport for work and Nexus 6P for music, and some videos. Hoping to make the leap to BB KeyOne. Similarly, the Blackberry Passport is in 2021 a fully functional team. Unsurpassed to date, for its versatility. Greetings from Canelones, Uruguay.
Still on Key One BE( YOure right on Key2...way too expensive) & Passport SE. YOu should cover old models which can still usable & worth to look for before new one finally announced.
Great videos! I bought a Classic Q20 (AT&T)wanting to only use for phone, text, email and spotify. Having issues with AT&T activating it. Swapped my sim from Android phone and it temporarily deactivated line. When I called them they said the device I put sim in was no longer supported? I thought the classics would be supported to 2022? Anybody have any luck getting Q20 on AT&T?
I anticipated this video was coming xp my classic is still running strong but I was thinking of picking up a passport - one problem I am facing some of the super updated apps like Firefox moving to quantum and stuff having a hard time to install. Thankfully in the UK we just have GSM for networks so we don't really have an issue - 4G works just fine and I think 3G is still working for the most part.
Thanks for this video, makes me want to resurrect my KeyOne. Put a cheapy case on it a million years ago and long story short- dropped it one too many times and cracked the screen/display 😱 it was a terrible day. It's been almost 2 years and that phone still haunts me: best one I've ever had. Maybe I'll bust it back out and take it in for repairs to hold me over for the new one coming out this year... anyways, happy new year, homie!
I haven't tested them. I would guess the sensor is better in the LE even though th Priv has a larger MP camera. The camera also works much better. Quite laggy and lacking features and no portrait mode on the Priv
I absolutely love the Priv, it is sad that they didn't give it any attention, fixing the battery would have made of us happy, I am not the tech guy, but the big screen was taken away in the Key versions, I absolutely love my Priv, overheating and all
Great video - just what I wanted to find out about. I have a Silver Edition Passport and I love it. It's going to have its second battery and second keyboard shortly. I considered selling out and replacing it with an iPhone when it finally gets bricked, but I'm still a BlackBerry fan and I don't think I'll ever be able to live without a physical keyboard. I'm watching for the new 5G model, and I'll be looking out for your thoughts on it when it finally shows up (I have subscribed).
Between the Motion and the Key2, I found the Motion screen not as bright. I also found the Motion camera is not as good as the Key2. The Motion camera under ideal lighting will take good pictures. Closeups are very acceptable. The Motion camera is good for documentation. The Key2 will take better photos and make better videos. The Key1 is really like a Motion with a keyboard. My favourite Blackberry's have been the Q30, Passport, PRIV, and then especially the Key2 more than all of the past ones. The PRIV was sometimes running too hot. I had battery issues with it at times. Personally, I would have liked to have a Passport that can run fully Android. Blackberry told me this is not possible. The Passport was one I liked a lot. It is a bit wide for handling and the screen is not really standard in aspect ratio. The Passport had to be the best one for writing emails and looking at financial graphics in the stock indexes. It was almost like a mini tablet. I am presently using two Key2 phones. They are great! I am waiting for the Blackberry 5G.
Your channel is nice, but can you bring us more new informations for the coming blackberry, if they are new informations? Thats much interesting than the past products.
Houston in the house. Man i hope the passport still operates to some extent. The tablet is still a good media consumption device if it stays operable. I have my passport here in Australia and still kicks ass. Wondering how it will phase out in this region.
They sold 90 and a lot of them are from 2007-2009 and deal with how the phone handles messages and displaying images/handling files on the phone. BlackBerry still has more than 38,000 patents remaining. I'm not worried about this at all.
I have an old working 2014 BB Z3 mobile. I would like to flash it and reload the software in order to use it for basic phone alternative. Can you guide me to links for flash software and USB driver for Windows 7 note? Kindly email to me
@@TechOdyssey my Key2 fell in water, how can i get parts to fix it. you need to know there is no store in my whole country that sell blackberry devices. but there is a lot of used blackberry in the market and super cheap. can i find the specs if the devices online ? part wise

Great video! Currently using a 2 year old Key 2 and weighing how long it might last. Works well but are there ways to spot when a unit might be starting to fail? Thanks and keep the helpful videos coming.

I'm waiting for the new blackberry but I don't know when will exist
Thank you!! Looking forward to hearing about the new blackberry thats coming.
Is this 2021 model comes with BB os or android?
Bbm could launch passport with high end android processor., and good camera. With and without physical keyboard options
Passport 2 and a Priv 2 2021 Android version.
I am waiting for the Blackberry 5G.
can i still get a bb passport se??
Which one has the best camera?
I would say the KEY2
Thank you👍🏻👍🏻
Your channel is nice, but can you bring us more new informations for the coming blackberry, if they are new informations? Thats much interesting than the past products.
Do you think I would not make a video if I had the information? There is no new information
Houston in the house. Man i hope the passport still operates to some extent. The tablet is still a good media consumption device if it stays operable. I have my passport here in Australia and still kicks ass. Wondering how it will phase out in this region.
H-Town!
In light of BlackBerry selling many of its patents to China, does this mean the new phone will be compromised and less desirable?
They sold 90 and a lot of them are from 2007-2009 and deal with how the phone handles messages and displaying images/handling files on the phone. BlackBerry still has more than 38,000 patents remaining. I'm not worried about this at all.
I have an old working 2014 BB Z3 mobile. I would like to flash it and reload the software in order to use it for basic phone alternative. Can you guide me to links for flash software and USB driver for Windows 7 note? Kindly email to me
is there a website for blackberry parts?
Not that I know of
@@TechOdyssey my Key2 fell in water, how can i get parts to fix it. you need to know there is no store in my whole country that sell blackberry devices. but there is a lot of used blackberry in the market and super cheap. can i find the specs if the devices online ? part wise
Can anyone help i need an earpiece speaker for a blackberry key2 Le, please
Sorry. I don't know where to get one. Good luck
My classic died last week, I just decided sod it and got a pixel 3a from a pre-owned shop
I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully the 3a is working ok for you
I miss the keyboard and track pad but I do like it, the camera is better than it has any right to be for the price of the thing
How died? Battery?
blackberry classic q20 after January 4, 2022
Sad that the evolve doesn't function well in US.. It's a very cool fun. Affordable, strong enough, attractive, I am enjoying mine and this will make it 2 years that I have been using now
Great video! Currently using a 2 year old Key 2 and weighing how long it might last. Works well but are there ways to spot when a unit might be starting to fail? Thanks and keep the helpful videos coming.
Not really. I would imagine it would just start to be less reliably and not work the way it's supposed to. If it's ok right now than you're probably fine
@@TechOdyssey thanks!
Superb Sir .
Thank you.
Are you able to download WhatsApp on blackberry classic or passport?
Yes. I made a video on it
