- The 2022 Fokker Scourge Fly-In was held Sept. 3 & 4, 2022 at the Golden Age Air Museum in Bethel, PA. The main attraction of the show was three Fokker triplane reproduction aircraft with original WWI rotary engines. A fourth Warner-powered triplane reproduction was also featured. I documented the weekend with video, still photos, and interviews.

Fascinating, I admire their commitment and zeal - but most of all, the fruits of their labor of love. Incredible planes, revived for the world to see.

Just watched a Greg's airplanes episode on Fokker - he started the American company that became North American. P-51, X-15, etc. What a lineage from these WW1 classics

As far as the paint scheme. I was under the impression that these first two triplane were painted the light blue and then over painted with the dark green. This differers from the production aircraft that had the over streaking of dark green over the neutral fabric finish of the doped fabric. Thanks.

Really good stuff but what about the high speed pass without the bloody music. We want to hear all those 80 horses let loose.

I didn't know there was a F1 prototype. I once read about a German Airforce pilot named Voss Stoker and he was hired by Fokker to test pilot one of the very first DR1'S and flew one in WWI. He died in a DR1. Do you have any info on Voss Stoker? I have his memory of him and his paint scheme of his DR1. His DR1 was painted white & sky blue checkered fuselage with a light blue under carage, white rudder, white stabilizer with light blue under carage and sky blue top & light blue under wings and landing gear. Also a white crowling.
Where do they get the rotary engines? I haven't heard of anyone producing them. I plan on building a Fokker Dr1 replica too, but I have no idea where to get a rotary engine. Russel, if you know where the get them, please tell me.

There are no known Oberusels, but there are original LeRhones floating around.

@@okbuddyretard The Oberusel was the German rotary engine of WWI. It was a cheap copy of the Allied rotaries. It was unreliable.
