"You're cruel, and I'm a masochist". Says Rodney to Betty. Truer words were never spoken. Betty knows she can Rod around her finger. Stephen - not so much.
01:30 - 02:15 Rodney's whole 'off with the boots, on with the slippers' demand of a compliant Betty ends up looking like Betty has taken lessons from Barbara Eden's Jeannie on "I Dream of Jeannie" '-- "Yes, Master (Larry Hagman)." I think he took it a bit too far.
She loved Steven, but she was tired of his distrust of her; his obsession to destroy Martin Peyton; his refusal to leave that house. Adrienne was just the last straw after months of Steven using her.
@@denisewells4161 She grew to love him very much. If they hadn't moved back into the Peyton house, I believe they would have made it. But then, we'd have missed out on all these story lines.
"medleychildress451," This reads like a quip. If not . . . If Elliot had never returned to Peyton Place Rossi and Constance would be happily and passionately married. And Constance could relax knowing her precious, fragile Allison totally approves. Since that didn't happen, of course, the doctor remains an available, desirable single man. Reverting back to the original Comment's proposition: Dr. Rossi went above and beyond the call of duty battling Miss Choate to get Betty started on the staff at Doctors Hospital as an assistant. I like the short exchange, pre hiring, when he told her mother Julie they had drinks at the Colonial Inn - to discuss the opportunity. "Oh, only tomato juice for Betty, BTW." Despite the age difference between Rossi and Betty it's certainly more acceptable, plausible than, down the line, Rev. Tom Winter (Robert Hogan) and sexy, single, teen mom Jill Smith (Joyce Jillson). There's a color, network publicity photo from Betty's and Steven's wedding with Rossi standing aside the couple and Betty's / Barbara Parkin's and Rossi's / Ed Nelson's eyes are razor-focused on each other. If one didn't know they'd surmise THOSE two were the couple -- one just hours away from consummating their marriage. Scenario no. 3: As I wrote dozens of episodes back Dr. Rossi, unattached, should be first in line in pursuit of Marian Fowler (Joan Blackman), after her divorce, of course, from the DA John Fowler (John Kerr). In the grand scheme of things, taking into consideration the actresses playing the female population of Peyton Place, Joan Blackman's prettiness and full figure plus her soft, sexy voice, puts her at or near the top. Finally, I could see Betty honoring her sacred wedding vows more so than Rodney or Steven "'medleychildress451,' look at 'the can of worms you opened!' Thank you."
I was cheering that Peyton would go tumbling down those stairs---OH, how I was cheering! I'm crushed it didn't happen. MacReady survives & continues to drag the series down.
Barbara Parkins always beautiful as Betty.
Rodney always had eyes for Betty even when he was with Alison that's one of the reason she was insecure.
He had an eye on every other girl .....if he can go for sandy it's not surprising being with betty
@@saisha783 He didn't go for Sandy for any reason other than she willingly put out. He wasn't interested in her as a girlfriend.
His true love is Betty.
“He’s like a hungry mosquito, he’s not dangerous but annoying “ 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I found that was so hilarious too.

@2:20. I bet you when Allison comes back in the picture Rodney is gonna be like Betty who?
Forget Allison, even if sandy returns😂😂😂😂😂😂 y
Allison isn't coming back.
I think Allison was a rebound, Rodney left Betty after witnessing his dad and Betty's mom kissing.

I think she must be mercenary. She certainly never loved Stephen enough to throw him away so quickly.
She loved Steven, but she was tired of his distrust of her; his obsession to destroy Martin Peyton; his refusal to leave that house. Adrienne was just the last straw after months of Steven using her.
Betty told her mother that she did not love Stephen when she married him. She did it anyway. Golddigging.
@@denisewells4161 She grew to love him very much. If they hadn't moved back into the Peyton house, I believe they would have made it. But then, we'd have missed out on all these story lines.
@@suki44883 Ya, I suppose Stephen grew on her, but it is certainly not that first love like she had with Rod. She still carries a torch for Rodney.
I don't know why I am rooting for Lee.
I don't blame Stephen for not helping peyton, I mean he saved his life before and look where it got him.
Bingo!
It got him a home inside the Peyton house. That's what he (stupidly) asked for and that's what he got.
When you save a human beings' life, the fact that you did it is your reward. That makes you a hero, not a favor counter.
@@denisewells4161 Sadly, not everyone thinks or feels that way, often it's done out of purely selfish motives, fully cognizant of possible rewards.
WEBBAH!!
Lee is King.
Oh sorry. Meant "wrap Rod around her finger".
Man Rod looks like he wears a 36c
Rodney wears some very interesting outfits to the garage!
@@littlericky46 You might say.
🤣🤣🤣

Let's see there in a greasy garage and they've got on white jackets and their best clothes they're not too much in reality on the show where they
Rod and Betty are so cute!
Where does Rod keep all his designer clothes in this dump?
Rodney is at it again, thought he didn’t want commitment? Why is he sniffing round Betty?
ok when is Dr. Rossi going to start dating Betty
When Rod finds another sandy😬😬😬😬😬😬

How could Stephen just stand there and watch Peyton struggle down those steps? Cruel! My gosh you would help a dog.
His hatred of Martin Peyton has consumed him. He's no longer the same Steven as before.

I would have pushed him!
I think Betty & Rodney are a far better match
