So, you're just killing it. You've come a long way in six years getting to the proficiency level you're at now, your video production value is fantastic, and there's just not a bad thing to say about you (you're an awesome and kind person!), your content, or your playing. Well done!
Two questions:
1. On that particular Ibanez, the Indonesian neck finishing is hit or miss in my hands-on experience. Did you have to deal with knocking the fret ends back so that they didn't shred your hand? Every single one I've played/owned had terrible fret dressing/finishing from the factory. I LOVE Ibanez and own a couple of RG Prestige models at the moment, so definitely not slagging the brand by any means.
2. Having that number of guitars now, have you dove into full setups (intonation, fret leveling, truss rod adjustments, etc.) and maintaining your own instruments?

Great cover. This was one of the first songs that I learned by ear, I find that playing the B-C#-F#-G#-B lick is easier if you stick to the first frets and use the 5th, 4th and 3rd string, I also like to Palm Mute the notes as powerchords for a few of the transition sections (mainly the ones where it's just the bass) and use Power chords for some sections and specific notes (I always use it for F#, makes it sound larger than it actually is). The intro vibrato and some sections also work pretty well if you use an octave pedal alongside them

That is difficult because I love so many! Off the top of my head a few of my favorites are Cirice, Ritual, Dance Macabre, and Faith. But there are many more 😁🤘.
They put out an album (MESSAGE FROM THE CLERGY) that combines songs from different albums.
I think it's a fantastic collection of songs for listening and for playing.
My top ones to play are Spillways, Square Hammer, Absolution, and Call Me Little Sunshine.
Griftwood and especially Kaisarion are rather difficult for me, but my next favorites to play.
I see you play this Ibanez quite often. Is there a particular reason you play this guitar more often? Love you vids always fun watching you play.
Mostly because it's comfortable to play and easy to change tunings! But also I have some issues with electromagnetic interference noise and this is one of the guitars that handles that particularly well.

@Rachelf, sorry but the tone is not quite right. This song deserves a les paul or strat too, sounds flat on an Ibanez..
Playing on a different guitar really isn’t going to change the overall tone very much, when it comes to solid body electrics. The Strat would sound a little different because you’re comparing single coils to humbuckers, but a Les Paul you really won’t be able to tell the difference in a blind test, and honesty most people wouldn’t be able to differentiate the Strat either.
Also, and maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t personally think she is spending her time trying to do an EXACT tone match when doing her covers. That’s a lot of time spent for really not much of a difference for a UA-cam cover song. Focusing on your playing is really what is important and being happy with the sounds that YOU create, rather than matching someone else’s tone.
