Really like the style of your narration, so cool and calm. Makes it look so easy but I can tell you've got years of experience.Would you recommend a varied F-top or stick at decent DOF for some background definition? I find the church the hardest part of the day due to frequent dull light and lack of contrast available.
I use either primes or constant aperture zooms nowadays just to make the day easier. If shooting in a priority mode a variable aperture zoom would be fine
Hey Jon, I have another question as I am watching other videos on your channel. I am going to take pictures of my friend's wedding. Its not a paid job but she asked me to take pictures. But I want to give my 100% and give them the best images. I have Sony A6400, a 50mm F1.4 and 85mm F1.4. Q1 - I may rent a zoom lens, can you recommend a couple?. I don't know which zoom lens to get. Since I am the only one, should I use two camera bodies? I am able to rent so grabbing another camera and lens wont be an issue. Q2 - Should I use a flash? I see that you did not use one. Q3 - I watched your Mag Mod video so I have an idea what to one, but I don't see you using it during this wedding.
Hi, great questions. Most churches won’t let you use flash but I do have a BTS video where I use flash on another video from this wedding. I would rent a second body and use the lenses you have as they will be good quality. You need a spare camera incase your first camera fails.
Id highly recommend the tamron 18-70mm f2.8. I have that on my A6400 and use the 50mm prime for portraits etc... The 18-70mm though is so versatile though that you could do the whole day with just that lens
Wow! It's like herding cats during that confetti throw! Well done! 💯

Brilliant. Thanks for this.
Nice video thanks! Would have loved to see your images😊
Would it be better using electronic shutter whilst in the church so you are completely silent?
great work man!!!
Nice one mate.

@@JonSparkman and what kind of Mag Mod would you recommend? The sphere or the bounce?
The ceremony is outdoor and rest of the event is indoor
Tough one! I’d use both at times. Sphere for individual shots or small groups, bounce if you need to light a room or large group
@@JonSparkman thanks. I will keep this in mind.

I notice you seem to use the top dial to adjust your ISO - any reason why you use this as opposed to one of the command dials ?.
Not really! I have the rear command dial for dialing in 1/3rds or shutter increments and front for aperture.
What lens and camera pal?
Fujifilm xt3 and 18-55 kit lens I think

Do you ever use Auto ISO ?
