Natural Turkish Diaspore zultanite gem weighing 50.38ct.
The ‘Zultanite’ gem is faceted on both sides.
The stone has inclusions that do not bother with its display, and mostly towards the ends aligned to its faceting.
In natural light, its color is a mellow green, quite similar to the Sri Lankan alexandrite’s daylight color.
The gem has an immediate color change, warming to a pinkish brown under incandescent light.
The color change is not a hard change, but a distinct one, meaning your eyes will know.
Because the facets are on both faces and an organic type of faceting (ie. simple facets), this gem will make a perfect ‘crystal orb’ pendant.
Its facets will glide to the light easily, color flickering on and off in this uncommonly big stone.
The stone measures 30 x 22 x 11 mm.
