Can’t succumb into the mental trap of “it’s just north Melbourne” it’s the same mental attitude that allowed hawks to dictate most of the 3 QTR’s. In saying that, teams pretty much just wait for north to make mistakes and then punish them on turn over. I’d enjoy a win of about 45 points or more would be considered a “statement” for the on-lookers of beating teams we ‘should beat’
True, but against North to make a statement I would rather win by around 60 points, would like to absolutely smash em
Have alwasy said this, if you a true finals contender you gotta beat the elite teams and crush the bottom dwellers. Anything less than 40 point win is a fail in my eyes.

In this game it should be one we win by 50+ points if we are gonna make any noise in the finals. If we really are deserving of a top 4 spot come September then we have to not just beat bottom 10 teams convincingly and Kangaroos have been bottom for years if we truly are a quality side we have to beat North Melbourne convincingly how other top teams do. I was born into Port Adelaide and have been a Port fan since before they were even in the AFL and it’s time for them to get some consistency leading into the mid way of the season especially with all the talent we have at all 3 levels from forwards to mids to defence
The boys better get out of the blocks quicker than they have in the last couple of games. North games always bother me. Not as much as getting flogged by the fruit tingles for the last three showdowns though
