  • Three Rivers State Park was a hidden gem in the Florida panhandle. Located in Snead’s, FL on the banks of Lake Seminole, this park was on the smaller side, but the sites were quite large! There were many pull-through sites right on the water and we list a few for you. They do not have sewer hookups, but there is a dump station and it’s only $16 a night!! Our motorcycle was still in the shop during this stay, but it was too cold to ride anyhow. We did, however, get one nice day and got out for a canoeing adventure on the gator filled lake. We really enjoyed this park and will hopefully get a waterfront site next time.

    I subscribed a few months ago and I’ve been going back and watching the older videos y’all made. I really like this one. Y’all remind me a-lot of my wife and myself. Date night consist of stopping off at Lowe’s. Sitting outside drinking wine 🍷. Movie references about national lampoons Wally World and Christmas vacation. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched Christmas vacation. ‘The shitter was full’ clip was hilarious 😂😂.

    My first year teaching was in Sneads, Fl and I lived in a cabin on Lake Seminole, right next to that bridge next to 3 rivers state park. this brought back memories. Thanks so much.

    I’m loving all your videos although it’s like a fantasy for me to be able to travel like you do. But what I do like is seeing places I’ve never seen before, it’s almost like I’m there too. I started watching from the beginning and I think since I just had a heart surgery l’ll be watching you most of the day. Btw don’t worry about my surgery I’m doing just fine. Your videos actually inspire me to get up and do things. Thanks for doing these videos and I hope you see this message. Good luck with your travels.
    Carrie....btw I subbed.

    Nice state park. Good roomy sites. As you get older like me, you learn to never pass up a pee stop and never pass up a chance to dump the waste tanks. LOL Thanks for another enjoyable video.

  • @kandkcollins1

    When we make reservations we always ask for a drive through lot. Soooo much easier! We have a motorhome, but tow a car and if you don’t have a drive through, you have to stop and unhook, which isn’t a big deal, but inconvenient and sometimes blocks off traffic in the park while we are unhooking. I would love to travel to the States and visit all of these parks! (We are Canadian)

    State Parks. We are torn about the size of our full time rig.....Grand Design 310 or 385 (35' or 40'4"). Everyone on GD Facebook says going big will restrict State Park access How is your expenses so far with your rig and the size of the sites?

    • @ChangingLanes
      @ChangingLanes  6 років тому +1

      We've had no issues with state parks with our 44' rig. I guess it all depends on the state park, but we've been to a lot of them. Obviously smaller rigs have better access to things, but we were looking for comfort and function over accessibility. We know we aren't likely to get into any national parks, but they are all surrounded by campgrounds and rv parks. 😀 On expenses... We honestly need to do better at tracking our expenses to see how much we're spending per night on average. I have a spreadsheet but data is several months old. I'm sure the Northeast (Maine, etc) blew our numbers up. But we have moochdocked (free) a few weeks here and there so not sure. We'll be doing a year in review in Dec and will publish all of our numbers good, bad, and ugly. 😎
