I was waiting for the battery to blow up in this guys face. this guy clearly has no idea what hes doing and its very dangerous the way he is removing the battery. youre supposed to pull the black tabs straight back, not to the side, and certainly dont pry up on the battery. if you pull the two tabs the battery will just fall right out. if you want to actually know how to do this right, go watch someone else. this guy is going to get someone hurt
I was wondering the same thing. if the adhesive is even damaged like that would the battery just keeps falling out upon assembling it back?
Those adhesive tabs are trash, yeah they're "supposed to" pull down but they snap half the time even if you go slowly and carefully, I think they have a short shelf-life or something. You can get quite mean with a battery as long as you don't deform or mis-shape it.
Also you don't need any adhesive when re-assembling the tablet because it is held in place by the case, no jiggle or wobble, it is held still. It also makes future repairs easier for example if you need to do a screen then you can get the battery out of the way without dealing with adhesive (again!).
I repair about 5-10 of these per month, our company exclusively uses these. I hate when I get one with the stock adhesive because it snaps like 60% of the time and then removing the battery is a nightmare. This guy did quite good actually.
