This has helped me so much!!! My 86 year old daddy has vascular, Alzheimer’s and last July ( 2021) he had an ischemic stroke. His confusion and memory loss has escalated a lot since the stroke. This video helped me understand that what little hearing he does have remains intact but w the stroke to the left side of his brain along w the Alzheimer’s and numerous TIA’s through the last 20 years, he isn’t understanding most of what he hears 😏. So there’s no more need for me to raise my voice( IF he wears his hearing aids, which he doesn’t most of the day). I really appreciate the education regarding dementia so I can prepare myself for the changes coming and when I will need more help.
HUgely helpful. I truly wish I'd had this information years ago, when our dementia journey was just starting.
