Even without repaint,the gundam still look so dope. Great work! I love the color scheme!
Very epic, but i had the same issue with the tamiya panel liner. And the thinner is what makes the liquid flow, so if it gets inside cracks or seams it will still crack the piece. So I'd say it's safer to use the mr weathering color
The benefit of panel lining the base plastic instead of painting, is that I just use rubbing alcohol. If I ever paint though, I'll have to go legit.
Nice, the color reminds of the Flag from 00, it’s like a Flag and an Astray combined

Love what you did with this load astray. Without the extra armor. with the basic beam rifle and shield loadout. Simple yet awesome custom build

So, I love front-facing horns. I love black/white/orange paint schemes. I love the shield on one arm and weapon in the other. I love the simple look he has while still being super detailed. I just... Love the design over-all.

This video is getting my own creative juices flowing for my Lord Astray. Might have to mess around with it (and before anyone asks, it's my understanding that Load Astray is a typo and it was supposed to be Lord).
I'm a little sad you didn't go with the red shrouds but this still looks amazing man! I am a big fan of your work
Really beautiful! My only criticism would be that I think I would have painted the ankle pegs after deciding not to use the leg armor so they look a bit more intentional (I wouldn't have gone back and removed them by that point either)

With such a meaty back torso section I would modify it to add on thruster nozzles to it on the lower center line. To make look like it there is a purpose to its smooth bulkiness.

no the cause of cracking is the thinner inside the panel accent. Too much on unpainted & stressed parts (IE: aasembled) will cause it to crack. You can always apply panel lines on the runner (before assembly) if you are planning to go unpainted. For painted kits, no issues at all.
What if I use gloss topcoat before using panel accent? Does it still crack or is it okay?
@@14596_ less likely to crack if you gloss coat it first, also, do not make to coat too thick
Hey EA gunpla the plastic cracking isn’t because of the thinner. Enamel on bareplastic without any top coat does make the plastic more brittle. So before using the panel liner accent color please use a top coat!

Easy ok first clean your kit before customizing and then paint your kit I'd recommend you assemble the kit first and see what you have to paint make a plan about what you have to paint disassemble it and paint it in pieces like you doe then clear coat it or gloss coat it or satin coat it which ever you prefer really and then apply the washes after the clear coating apply the washes make sure to use the most less harmful enamel wash and research which kind of plastic is used for the kit so you know what it can do to your kit that's what i reccomend and what you basically do and this kit really turned out beautifully

I don't paint, just panel line, but this mod was kinda the direction I was going to go. But instead of guns I have a couple of the 30mm cielnova option weapon parts, and made a huge spear out of it.
If I can manage some holding spot, I'm going to throw the kunai on it as well.

lmao at this point almost everyone who customs the astray double rebake removes the cape, claws and the extra feet
I'm taking the cape and throwing onto a 30mm porta nova I put together from spare parts.
I'm probably gonna keep the cloak and claws once I get mine. I think the cloak's wired DRAGOONs and beam rifles still look pretty cool, and the claw shields'll be a decent physical melee weapon. Still probably gonna ditch the extra legs and Reverso Mode, though. Can the Load Astray still use the regular Astray backpacks?

@@Feroce After removing part of the back armor the Load Astray does have a single hole in it's back, so I think I might be able to attach a backpack that uses a single-peg connection. I'll have to experiment to see what I can do with it.

This thing honestly looks awesome without the extra armor but I wish there was some kind of backpack for him like the jet unit for the impulse gundam or red astray backpack
You can always 3d print or use spare parts to attach a backpack

Yes I still wish you would've given it a backpack instead of using the Back chest plate Because it has a peg hole You can use any of the other astray backpacks Or majority of the Striker packs except for the shoulder Weapons from like the launcher and the sword And the wizard packs Because they all use a single three millimeter pig Just might need to put an extension on Striker packs
