Usually those comments only come from Americans, aren't they? Everywhere in the world they understand the concept of cultural APPRECIATION. I have a deviantart account and upload drawings and got some nasty comments about stuff that's close to my heart as well, I just block them and am done with it. You're doing such a great job with your Kitsuke and your videos are always informative, you actually know much more than the average japan nerd about this part of the culture. All these haters have no clue about it. You're doing an amazing job, please keep it up! I hope my message found you well.

I feel like in the US, 'appreciation' and 'appropriation' are often mixed up, the latter often being used incorrectly. I've done much the same when it comes to nasty comments- I just remove them and block the user from further commenting if they're not going to say something constructive or positive. First time I saw you, I was quite jealous as what you’re doing was my dream for almost 20 years, but when I feel that jealousy try to come up, I just pray for your blessings, happiness and success because you are doing what you love and neither I nor anyone should be negative towards someone who is following a dream I physically couldn’t So many prayers and blessings to you ❤
@@anicatcandy1 Awww, I didn't know that! :( Truthfully, I also get jealous sometimes, too. I think it's human to feel that way! But I love the way you turn it into something positive, I try to do the same when I feel jealousy (but it's hard sometimes!). I only recently learned about henshin last October. Prior to that, I didn't think I could ever experience anything like that. (I knew I could never be a real geisha). But when I learned about henshin, I had this thought like "wait... what if I just learned to dress the way they do, and learn to do what they do?". And I figured out that you can just learn things on your own at your own pace! ❤️ And there's no pressure so you can truly just enjoy the process. 🥰 I'm not sure what your situation is, but don't let it hinder you if you can. :) Sometimes your dreams are still achievable, you just have to find another way around. ❤️ That's why I opted to do henshin versus trying to become a real geisha when that was not possible for me. And I love that it played out that way. 🥰 Don't give up. ❤️
