The golden era. Easily and by far. League today is nothing but PC version of this.
1989-1995 was great back then.
5:50 - North Sydney in the reserve grade grand final, the first North Sydney side in any grand final in any grade for 30 years. They had a big future in reserve grade, winning several reserve grade premierships in succession in the 1990s, with Kerry Bousted, etc..
The greatest side never to win the GF...Raiders, Tiger's and the Bunnies of 89 would be almost unbearable today.
souths literally lost their entire team the next year and got the wooden spoon. they all went to Manly and gold coast. and Les davidson went to the sharks. what a mess they went from only losing 2 games in 89 to only winning 2 games in 1990! never has there been a worse trun around then that and the team was near the bottom for about 20 years (got kicked out of the comp) and didn't get good again till a decade ago.

We should have won this year I hate the raiders ever since. this is the game where I think of 1989 i try to avoid the stupid GF but always gets thrown into my face it happened the day before I turned 8 so was depressing as hell my birthday. the Siro try they would have gone to the video ref and looked at it 4050 times before ruling it a no try lol
LOl Sterling said he thinkgs souths will win the football game because of 1 extra week off.. guess they learned nothing in 2021 it's a myth didn't worry the panthers this year
