This is the Japanese way of working: they didn't take hasty decisions in response to all the trolling. They took their time, figuring out what's the best way to improve safety ratings without compromising on other things, the things that made Suzuki a Suzuki. Now they have delivered an all-rounder package, with the best mileage, better looks, 5 star safety rating, that too without any significant increase in curb weight. They invest time, money, and energy in research, and we all can appreciate the results. The Japanese companies don't rule over the automobile industry for no reason.
3 cylinder engine was the reason why they could afford a stronger and heavier build. The one cylinder reduction in the engine led to an overall reduction in engine weight. This weight could have been added in the body shell.
They did primarily for emission and milage... 3 or 4 cylinder has hardly to do anything for safety... Engineers are capable of making 5 star rated 4 cycl engine.
I am shocked with the comments of Tata haters. 😂😂😂😂 I own a dzire and Nexon diesel. Recently bought XL6 cng and a ertiga too but trust me suzuki cars can never give the feel of tata. Even the biggest fake narrative of mileage
I have been using a Tigor XT for many years, never faced an issue with the reliability or the service. My car is doing fantastic. I have also used a Suzuki earlier. I will still choose a Tata car over a Maruti Suzuki car, anyday.
I wish Tata and Mahindra also learn a thing or two about customer service from Suzuki. I have a safari and scorpio and hate the service experience. Bought a Jimny this year and I’m amazed by the Nexa service. it’s a day and night difference between indian brands and suzuki.
Itta bhi koi difference ni hai bhai. No body looks at weight of car before buying. They will look at mileage. Akhir weight kam ya zyada hone se mileage par hi fark padega na. Wo to dzire waise bhi zabardast de rahi hai.

Good healthy competition. This might actually force TATA to focus on engine refinement and electronic issues now tho i cant say for service. Same for mahindra
@sohandesai818 good if they are investing in it. Mahindra actually got some of the best designed cars there too. They need to focus more on service now And since tata is heavily investing in modern tech and EVs they might fix their electronic issues too. All they need is good refined engines and better service
07:45 maruti always had the volumes. So there is no argument that they were operating in the niche price bracket. The decision was to either follow the engineers and give a safe car, or follow the mba guys and give a profitable car
one more point in addition to marketing tactic done by Maruti is - they didn't send their car to bharat ncap as they would still be questioned ,even after getting 5 stars, if the ratings is rigged under lobbying pressure. They decided to send it to Global Ncap removing any doubts about it's s safety ratings and becoming talk of the town. It's a good ploy done by the Marketing team.
4:01 2018 year launched Honda Amaze scored 14/17 pts and 4 star in old protocols but in new protocol it was tested with only 2 Airbags and without ESP,3 point seatbelts which are necessary to get 5 star rating and still scored 27.85/34 pts with stable body shell Integrity.. Platform is capable of 5/5 star but due to lack of safety features like ESP, 3 point seatbelts for all passengers and 6 Airbags it scored 2 star..New Amaze will have all safety features standard from the base variant. Also Verna with all safety features scored 28.18/34 pts with unstable body shell Integrity..Virtus/Slavia was also tested with 2 airbags.. I hope Honda will send Elevate,City 5th Gen and New Amaze for the crash test voluntarily..
If they sell it as commercial vehicle people will not buy as status of person depends on the vehicle they use in india so that's the case if you recall people who have wagnor and desire was all the time people haras them for the vehicle they use and I feel this should be there use 3rd gen for cabbis for fleet and 4th gen for private not to mention it was a expensive car to start with and people start using them as cabs in cities like blr no one will buy

@@AbstainAndChill we all knew this one day will come and MS will say "yeah f*ck it" and give us a 5 star car that day it's over for brands playing only on safety
"I believe the primary reason Suzuki shifted focus toward making safer cars is that, historically, they relied heavily on four-cylinder engines. However, with the introduction of stricter emission norms, they were forced to adopt three-cylinder engines, which diminished their competitive edge. In response, Suzuki pivoted to emphasize vehicle safety as a key differentiator in the market."
No one has forgotten it neither we should, it was a manufacturing defect. Out of 1000s of scopio n sold, very few of them had the issue. Mahindra does an amazing job working on the engineer of their cars but they absolutely did fail in the testing the cars individually, and it is not justified but calling their cars unsafe for it is also not correct.
@@Hackerisitic Manufacturing defect is acceptable but negligence despite repeated complaints by the owner is not. Why was Mahindra hell-bent on destroying evidence & not letting an FIR to be filed. It's because their negligence would be proved. Someone lost a leg cause of their negligence. There's no point in having 5 star rating if the cars are unreliable like Mahindra and Tata
Its simple: what has tata motors offered besides 5 stars? That was something you could copy. Once suzuki got that, why would you buy a tata? I will admit, tata makes incredible suspensions, and i do hope they've worked on dzire's, because the existing dzire's suspension is nothing to wow about.
06:16 *Prakash Bhai! In Australia, Scorpio N received ZERO stars (surprise!) in ANCAP (compared to 5 stars in GNCAP) because ANCAP updated their major testing guideline and made Active Safety features such as "automated emergency braking" and "lane support system" mandatory to receive anything more than zero for certification, whereas Scorpio N currently lacks these features and hence received zero stars irrespective of rest of the safety features. (I learned from one of your videos ten months ago).*
Germans, other Japanese and Korean mid segment needs to up their game so does Mahindra. Tata going good. Needs to maintain it. And damn Maruti good one....!
I always knew, the day Maruti decides to "really" enter any segment or address any niche of the car market, it is game over for any other car in that segment or niche. Today it is "safe cars". Tomorrow it will be "hybrid cars". Then it will be "fully electric cars". There is no company in the world that can outcompete Maruti in the Indian market.

It’s great to see that the Indian Auto market is focusing on safety standards as per Global NCAP level. Now All Foreign Auto Manufacturers realised Indian LIFE matters! 😀
Well done MS! Good for customers. Alarm for competitors! If this came a month earlier then my brother would have definitely bought it. Having said that, TATA definitely was the benchmarker in this feature of a car. They were the first, beginning from 2016 or before, to manufacture cars with strong body build. In 2019 they actually brought to market the first officially 5 star rated car Nexon. Since then they have been constantly working on safety. They did invest in after sales service yet it definitely needs more incentives to be more effective. Past 7-8 years TATA has saved many lives in severe crashes which if otherwise could be fatal for occupants. Making safer cars is the most welcoming trend. But that doesn't make an excuse in reliability and other equally important aspects of a car. Hope manufacturers of car learn from each other. Cheers!

It's not like MS makes unsafe cars outside India, in UK, Japan...their cars are 4/5 stars always. The design was always safe outside India, but in a India they used low strength steel to maximize profits and this resulted in poor ratings. Now they have switched to high strength steel which is why going forward we might see many 5 star rated MS cars
One of the best reasons to get a Tata punch or Altroz was their 5 star safety rating. Their other components are not that great. But now, since Suzuki is providing a complete package, i think people will prefer the Dzire more than tata's 5 star rated cars.
I prefer buying cars rather than taxis. still prefer the look of tata, interior and suspension, maruti's suspension is so jerky i get motion sickness whenever i am in a dezire cab
Maruti to Tata- We beat you in safety ratings. Ab humko reliability me beat karke dikhao. On a Serious Tata note, Tata sirf apni safety ki chalte bik rahi thi. People were like thodi unreliable h, service bekar hai but safe to hai. Ab woh point bhi gaya. Ab Tata needs to improve their reliability kyoki ab safety wala card nahi chal payega.
5:14 Gncap mentions bodyshell & footwell area stability but BNCAP doesn't. It's also very important other than just stars..... Do highlight these things in future videos
Doesn't the weight of the car also have an impact on these ratings? Ex a 1000 kg car is tested for impact against a 1000 kg car and so on. Dzire is around 1000, while slavia around 1200 and scorpio 2500. Hence in a collision between a Scorpio or slavia against Dzire. Even though Dzire has a higher rating, it would succumb to more damage?
Even as a Tata's fanboy I'm also happy after hearing the news of 5* in Dzire...and i personally recommended this sedan to many people who want to buy Maruti but safety is worst...and now they can😊

Here's the reality, Maruti's market share declined from 60+% once to just 40% today. Thanks to better brands with better cars like Mahindra, TATA, VW/Skoda, Hyundai, Kias. Hence, Maruti's FOMO of losing more market share arm-twisted them into making a safe car to not lose out of game. Dezire might be a safe car, no doubt, but Maruti is still a Tincan brand with WagonR, Alto, Ertiga, Espresso, Baleno all are still 0-2 stars. So still a TINCAN brand. Now, VW/Skoda cars are way better and mature cars with overall higher score in Global NCAP than Dezire. (adult+child safety score). Also Virtus scored 5 star wirh just 2 airbags, Dezire scored with 6 airbags, hence little higher score which is negligible tbh. A good car is which can drive well, brake well, gives you total control of car with good steering feedback and connected to the road feel, powerful engine with no hassle to overtake or carry 4-5 people, and definitely long term engine reliability. Suzuki ranks 8th in top selling cars worldwide and no. one small car sellers worldwide. They are one of the most trusted and reliable car manufacturers. Even toyota is badging Suzuki cars under their logo and selling worldwide. This is the trust toyota has on Suzuki when it comes to reliability as they know Suzuki is as reliable as them.
@JitendraKumar-cf1ir haha. Get yours facts right. 8th is way behind. There are 7 brands selling far more by margin than Suzuki. Secondly, every car is reliable provided it's maintained well. The more sophisticated the car, the more it needs to be stickly maintened. No wonder globally people trust Toyota and VW group cars the most. Thirdly, Toyota never trusted Suzuki. It only is rebadging Suzuki cars to capture market share among mass market B segment cars. It isn't doing it for its C segment and above cars. Toyota is never sharing it's original cars with Suzuki globally. That's Suzuki getting money for selling each car to Toyota and Toyota capturing market share. It's purely transactional, nothing about trust here. Toyota folks have their separate Quality Check Control than Suzuki for the Suzuki cars they rebadge. And lastly, Suzuki guys say their cars are reliable because it doesn't need much maintenance but can't manage a real car with real mechanics which need the basic knowledge of car and engine and it's working to ensure those performance cars by other brands keep performing even after 10-15-20 years. And they do, globally and in India too out of people who have owned these superior brands. But Suzuki guys will always be scared to own these better cars because they don't know how to maintain such cars. It's as simple as that. No wonder people in developed countries buy Germans, Chinese (EV) and Toyotas only far more than they do Suzukis.
Ab bas turbo or more powerful engines and some luxury reh gayi hai , If Suzuki does that also, market share sky rocket ho jayega what I think btw I have never owned a Maruti Car but appreciate them what they did with Dzire, and as always amazing video 🎉🎉❤

They also deserve to be praised for the design of this car. I mean yes it looks like a copy from audi and all but still, at least they tried to make it desirable and went all in with this car on the design and safety aspect without losing their existing charm. One thing that I'm excited about is for all the upcoming cars and updates on their existing cars from maruti. Imagine for instance, if ertiga and a few other cars also became safer and better looking. They'll literally kill the competition🔥🔥
Instead of taunting, suzuki fannbois should be thankful to us for compelling suzuki to sell safe cars in India. They're now bound to sell japanese models in India instead of tin cans.
I'm happy to see this kind of initiative and change from Suzuki I liked their no nonsense vfm cars but the only issue was safety but finally Suzuki is addressing this 😊
No matter how much desire and wagonr get safe they are mostly sold in cab markets... and there even now old gen unsafe car is being sold and these will not change.
Doesn't make any difference to either TATA or any car maker. 90% of those buying cars don't have any knowledge about cars nor their service, they hardly drive 6000 to 10000kms a year and sell off after 5 to 8 years without giving a damn about whether service was good or bad. All they want is good looks, price and features. Those having faced problems with cars and SC unable to resolve feel the pinch and become vocal about it. Rest dont care at all. Mark my words, Tata will continue to sell 45k units, hyundai 50k, mahindra 50k. Maruti will continue with 1.5lak

Can you please make a video on Servicing of vehicles after purchase like first 2 or 3 are freee then what to do avoid getting scammed by dealer at servicing pls make a video clearing all these doubts
For a long time, we have been considering buying a car within our budget for my parents. Due to budget constraints, we were initially looking at the Tata Tiago and Tata Punch, as these two models offer good safety features in their segment. However, since I own a Tata Tigor, I am familiar with the poor service experience provided by Tata, which made me reluctant to choose another Tata car. Now, with this Maruti car launched in a completely new avatar and offering top-notch safety standards, I can choose it without hesitation due to Maruti's reliable service and dependability (having owned an Alto for over 15 years).
I feel this will be a pivotal moment for the Indian auto industry. The reason being that now Tatas main USP is no longer exclusively theirs ... I am hoping tata wakes up and is forced to make vast improvements to their reliability and specially their after sales network. This is how market forces should work for good.
It's good that maruti is focusing on the safety even if its for marketing, however I personally would go for verna dezire doesn't feel up to mark in terms of interior feel and the price is also not cheap nowadays.
GNCAP is a reputed foundation, plus the car sent by Maruti was the base model so there is no scam. The problem now is that it is a 3-cylinder engine instead of 4 and power and torque figures have slightly dropped. Maruti had to do it as competitors are taking market share.
I don’t care if it’s for marketing and increase brand image, I’m just happy that there will be more safe cars on the road, especially the cab service 😂 you know what I’m saying.
Insaan mileage leke kya karein... jab zinda hi nahi hai!?? Kudos to Maruti-Suzuki 👏👏👏 About time we Indians move beyond this "Kitna deti hai?" waala culture.
It's good for the competitive auto industry, but 7:55 i don't think that it will hamper even 1 % sales of Mahindra because Mahindra is a SUV maker. In TATA's case slightly effect but not much don't forget one 5 star can't make the whole Suzuki lineup 5 star 😂😂
Abe bhai agar Suzuki apni sbse unsafe gaadi ko safe bana skta hai toh kya kuch ni kr skta ab Tata ko pane service centre pr kaam krna hoga nahi doobe ga Tata fir se in japanis company USA ki mkt koto pani bharwa diya na toh ye Tata kya chizz hai agar Tata apne service centre thik nahi krta toh dubega
I commented a while ago on one of your video about the decreasing sales percentage of Suzuki and I mentioned that sooner or later Suzuki will have to bring safer cars because the low price USP will not work for long as people are being aware of safety standards. Suzuki still has the majority share of sales among all and it will like to stay there. Recently, I've seen many Suzuki cars being rebadged and sold as Toyota cars just to avoid that Tin ka Dabba thing. There is Glanza for Baleno, Urban Cruiser for Brezza and even big cars like Invicto for Innova (new model). So yeah, Suzuki will remain the Automobile giant it is in India.
Just because dzire got 5* does not mean that all will go gaga about buying it cos under 10 lakh rs there is a hell of a choice in India now and please stop bugging about mileage and poor service about other brands which is a fake narrative. On the wrong side of dzire is that many don't want to go for it because it is the king of taxi service. Lastly, Ncap rating matters least when buying a car for most of us if that was the case then Hyundai would have closed down their shop long ago. Let's see how Ri's predictions of dzire"s bright future turns out.
I don’t think so volkswagen skoda mahindra will get affected but i am damn sure tata will be effected because volkswagen and skoda targets people who loves driving and wants sheer driving pleasure like bmw and mahindra mostly sells suvs not mass market cars like tata

3 cylinder engine was the reason why they could afford a stronger and heavier build. The one cylinder reduction in the engine led to an overall reduction in engine weight. This weight could have been added in the body shell.
It's doesn't mean if the engine is heavier the car is safe it's all about strong body and which types of elements use in the body 😅
They did primarily for emission and milage... 3 or 4 cylinder has hardly to do anything for safety... Engineers are capable of making 5 star rated 4 cycl engine.
and adding weight to body doesn't make a car safe.... car safety is beyond "Just weight" you seriously need to do some physics homework

What feeling are you talking about?
I have been using a Tigor XT for many years, never faced an issue with the reliability or the service. My car is doing fantastic. I have also used a Suzuki earlier. I will still choose a Tata car over a Maruti Suzuki car, anyday.

Big thanks to our Indian car brands Tata and Mahindra, jinke wajah se maruti ko vi compete karne ke liye safe car banana para..
I wish Tata and Mahindra also learn a thing or two about customer service from Suzuki. I have a safari and scorpio and hate the service experience. Bought a Jimny this year and I’m amazed by the Nexa service. it’s a day and night difference between indian brands and suzuki.

This might actually force TATA to focus on engine refinement and electronic issues now tho i cant say for service.
Same for mahindra
Mahindra already has some of the most refined, smooth and powerful engines in any segment. Biturbo even made a video on their Turbo GDis
@sohandesai818 good if they are investing in it. Mahindra actually got some of the best designed cars there too. They need to focus more on service now
And since tata is heavily investing in modern tech and EVs they might fix their electronic issues too.

Doesn't the weight of the car also have an impact on these ratings? Ex a 1000 kg car is tested for impact against a 1000 kg car and so on.

Dezire might be a safe car, no doubt, but Maruti is still a Tincan brand with WagonR, Alto, Ertiga, Espresso, Baleno all are still 0-2 stars. So still a TINCAN brand.

No wonder people in developed countries buy Germans, Chinese (EV) and Toyotas only far more than they do Suzukis.

maruti is completely surprise getting 4 and 5 Star ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨
For a long time, we have been considering buying a car within our budget for my parents. Due to budget constraints, we were initially looking at the Tata Tiago and Tata Punch, as these two models offer good safety features in their segment. However, since I own a Tata Tigor, I am familiar with the poor service experience provided by Tata, which made me reluctant to choose another Tata car.
Now, with this Maruti car launched in a completely new avatar and offering top-notch safety standards, I can choose it without hesitation due to Maruti's reliable service and dependability (having owned an Alto for over 15 years).
It's not just Dzire.
Nissan Magnite is also becoming a very attractive budget car(the manual non-turbo version).
If they maintain this good safety in their every car, and give some good engines. Ig they can rule the Indian car market
I feel this will be a pivotal moment for the Indian auto industry. The reason being that now Tatas main USP is no longer exclusively theirs ... I am hoping tata wakes up and is forced to make vast improvements to their reliability and specially their after sales network. This is how market forces should work for good.
Why still no mention of 5 star GNCAP rating on Maruti Suzuki Dzire website?
Deniability?
Is global version different from Indian one, as usual before?
It's good that maruti is focusing on the safety even if its for marketing, however I personally would go for verna dezire doesn't feel up to mark in terms of interior feel and the price is also not cheap nowadays.
Possibility of any scam?
Or fraud? From company side
Any possibility of manipulation?
GNCAP is a reputed foundation, plus the car sent by Maruti was the base model so there is no scam. The problem now is that it is a 3-cylinder engine instead of 4 and power and torque figures have slightly dropped. Maruti had to do it as competitors are taking market share.
koi sense hai se baat pe?
I don’t care if it’s for marketing and increase brand image, I’m just happy that there will be more safe cars on the road, especially the cab service 😂 you know what I’m saying.

Kudos to Maruti-Suzuki 👏👏👏
About time we Indians move beyond this "Kitna deti hai?" waala culture.
Driving dynamics, performance and 3 cylinder engine?
It's good for the competitive auto industry,
but 7:55 i don't think that it will hamper even 1 % sales of Mahindra because Mahindra is a SUV maker.
Good milege , good safety, good reliability, good after sales service
What else do we need now 😂
Just because dzire got 5* does not mean that all will go gaga about buying it cos under 10 lakh rs there is a hell of a choice in India now and please stop bugging about mileage and poor service about other brands which is a fake narrative. On the wrong side of dzire is that many don't want to go for it because it is the king of taxi service. Lastly, Ncap rating matters least when buying a car for most of us if that was the case then Hyundai would have closed down their shop long ago.
