Cossack has one of the worst AA defenses in the game. It feels like it's one dude on deck shooting at the planes with an AR.
Or throwing stones at the planes
An AR would be too much AA
Don't need good AA with cossack. She has a ton of smokes. Save them for when planes come close
Better than the mean words the ashitaka crewmen throw up at the pilot in the vain hope of at least doing some emotional damage
Somers is the king of bad AA. The only ship which the damage counter goes up by one hp at a time……
I have the original Cossack and she's one of my favorite T8 DDs, she's really versatile and fun to play!
Also I was waiting for a video today, glad it's The Cossack. As usual you make this game more tolerable.
My favorite moment in Cossack was in a t8 ranked season, I forget exactly when this was. I came across an enemy Loyang that was kiting away from me. I was able to spot him, but because Cossack has such good setealth, he wasn't spotting me. Since he took hydro instead of speedboost he couldn't outrun me. I chased and kept him spotted for at least 30 seconds before I had to turn away. I was laughing my ass off the entire time.
The sequence at 20:30 is just textbook, well thought out and executed DD play. So well done!
relying on your team-mates in randoms is an awful any-ship play 😂
i think cossack is one of the best dds in game no matter the tier or the nation.

I mostly play Kidd and Loyang in T8 ranked. Cossack is the one DD I don't want to see in the enemy team, such a hassle to deal with or play around.

I got my cossack from a 2 free unsinkable sam containers from a mission. That was unexpected and I'm a DD gunboat player and I love it to bits.
For me it's the best T8 DD. No other ship has that much gunpower and as good stealth. My most played ship. In no other ship I am that confident to fight even two tiers higher ships
this video made me play the Cossack again, but being always the low tier and having subs as well as CVs was truly no fun. for me there a much better DDs on T8
Cossack is a really really good DD for a good gunfight and contester and farmer with short smokes which allow you to reposition and farm again
The only downside is having absolutely no AA,and that is why people more often pick Kidd which does have AA and similar performance
Overall...it's pretty damn good
not like AA matters anyway. People play Kidd for the heal, not the AA. If you run Kidd with DEF AA instead of engine boost you are actually a clown
It still has a bit more self-sustaining kit than Cossack which depends on the hit-and-run
Thoe if a CV goes after Cossack,you are gonna get clapped quick because the AA values are really poor,and it takes ages to kill even fighters
@MrTrool323 British DDs are the only Destroyers in the game that can pop a smoke to prevent strikes without much care. Unless that CV has a grudge against you and waits out an entire minute to get a strike on you it's fine to not have AA

@MrTrool323 In the 100+ hours I have playing Daring I can count the number of times I have had a CV focus me even despite me smoking up on one hand.
CVs want quick damage. Unless you are specifically playing Ranked you'll be fine
I prefer RPF myself for the Cossack, & any other gunboat DD. I have the B model, & it's an interesting ship, quick to get to speed, doesn't lose speed in turns, & that Hydro is damn useful when fighting other DDs
Torpedo arcs suck a bit, but can't have everything you want lol
Got it last BF and I'm surprised they never nerfed it as i find it a bit too strong.
That concealment and firepower is a really strong combination. Torpedoes are great as well with good reload and decent range.
I personally prefer RPF over extra range or fearless brawler for extra DD hunting fun.
Yea, agree on the RPF, I run that on my build as well.

OK, thanks PQ. Loved your content on (black ships) I did purchase the black Cossack. Only purchase (spending any money) in 2022 for me in the game. I feel comfortable with the choice.

@PQ, the first game of any ship you’re gonna get incredible MM. The more you play the ship the worse MM gets

I got the Cossack way back in a box. She is a good boat. Don't know what the B is all about.
Where is the B at the start and ingame also?
UK DD's don't get heals until T9 with the Jutland. Not sure why you were saying it didn't get a heal when the tech tree does, because is doesn't. Lighting is great too. Looks like Cossack also gets a speed boost as the tech tree doesn't have that.

Extra gun for the Cossack and one less torp rack. Otherwise the same. I love my lightning.

Try a double cv game to paint a picture of Wows at present...subs r easy, cvs keep u spotted and its game over. Neva get a game without cvs on asia server. 28 cvs in the que at present...funs over for dds...now clowns take subs to nail the cvs. DD days seem distant.

Honestly dont buy anything from WG, they give 0 uk about you. PQ and other remaining CC might recommend them, but they forget how little WG care and they are being sold in a time where t9 are being complete useless.
