This turned out so pretty. I love the color selection. I use weights too on the poles. I started doing that when we had my sons drive by party and that wind was blowing my creation to smithereens. 😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂! This was my first time using the weights and I’m so happy I did. I love floor lamps but they can be unstable once you start adding more balloons so it was much needed.

Love it! So pretty. How do you deal with tying neck to neck for double stuffed balloons? I feel like my fingers are dead by the end.
Thank you! I been doing it for about three years now so my finger strength is top tier at this point lol but I tie only the inside neck for 11 and 16in balloons.
How long is your PEX tubing or what length/size did you cut it to before you placed it on the base and did place tape on the floor to keep some of the balloons down and if so what kind of tape? I thought I saw you placing a few strips of tape down when I replayed it. Love your videos. You are a great inspiration to me.
Thank you so much. I think the PEX was 6 1/2 or 7FT. I believe I used tape to keep it from moving. If so, it may be gaff tape.

Do you spray your balloons before arrival and do you return to pick up the pvc?
Hi. Thank you so much! You’re welcome. No, I don’t spray the balloons and nor do I return to pick up the stand. I let the client know the stand is disposable. The floor lamp is $10 and the PEX pipe is like $6 so not worth the drive back in my opinion.

How much do you charge for a freestanding garland?
Thank you! I still charged per FT. Minimum 18FT for this freestanding.
I have a question. How soon do you inflate before the event? If using quality balloons can you inflate 2/3 days before the actual event date?
I usually inflate a day or 2 before, depending how many jobs I have that week. I did six days before an event before, however, I do recommend putting the balloons in a bag and not out in the open. I purchased the mattress bags from Uhaul twin-queen sizes.
What us the poles called that you used to slide on the lamp?
What size are the fillers you used to build the garland?
It’s a PEX pole that you can purchase from Home Depot or Lowes. It’s bendable. Same as the actually garland I don’t size the balloons so my 11”’s are around 8 or 8 1/2in and 5” around 3 or 3 1/2”.
Another question, on your initial pole of color blocked balloons, did you place clusters of 6 or 8 cluster of balloons on your PEX tubing and did you use mostly 12 inch balloons with maybe one 16 inch in a cluster. This question is for your initial PEX pole.
I can’t remember exactly but I think they were clusters of 8 and some with one 16in.
Can you show how you added the balloons to the pvc? And what size pvc? I’m doing this in a couple weeks.. I was going to add a rod to the top but this seems easier! Thanks!
I twisted two balloons around the PEX pole, same thing if it was a floor lamp. Make sure you purchase PEX and not PVC, the PEX is more flexible than PVC, and it was 3/4” so it could fit over the floor lamp. Thank you!

I was going to ask you if the gaffer tape works on carpet?
Yes, it does. The black tape though, I don’t think I tried it with the clear tape.
Is the sempertex pastel pink please?
I believe it’s the standard pink by sempertex with rose by qualatex inside.
do you double stuff your balloons?
Yes, pretty much everything but black and chrome colors.

Hi! I don’t size them but around 8 or 8in for 11inches and 3 or 3 1/2inches for 5inches.

How do you know how many Balloons required?
I price per FT and typically times 8 by the number of FT bc 8 is the most I will add in one cluster. That’s to figure out the 11in balloons. I’m not heavy on 16in balloons so I usually buy one bag per color and I don’t buy 16” for all colors.
