Serious question; is it harder to translate Chinese than it is to translate Japanese, in general?
Because it feels like finding Chinese-to-English subs that don't feel poor & broken is more difficult than it should be...
from what ive seen, yes. The explaintion i got was cause there are too many dialects and they talk too fast. or at least that was a translator told me
There's a good reason chinese or mandarin is one of the hardest languages to learn for english speakers, right next to that is Arabic.
That's correct besides dialect chinese also contain various characters and symbols that could mean 1 or more things depending on the context. That's why chinese is so hard to translate even with simplified/traditional style. U have Hong Kong chinese, Taiwan chinese, and chinese chinese which uses various tones and meanings. Japanese is easy where if u don't understand Kanji have katakana and hiragana which is more straightforward
This is the only downfall imo of enjoying Chinese anime. The translations get wonky, i can live with, but they talk too fast so it's harder to understand tone and inflection on words for me.
The translations on this channel are trash. You can watch this anime on a lot of good websites with very good subs. If the channel can't provide good subs, they can just clip from one of those sites.
English sub is pathetic. I don't know how much they paid for it, but, they need to ask for their money back. They were ripped off.

The guy challenging Mo Fan (MC) is ranked 111. The challenger is saying that once Mo Fan loses to him, he will be rank 111. Obviously, he doesn't lose, so he stays at rank 100.
The line about "my 111 ranking" is said by the challenger dude. Not by Mo Fan. The timing of the subtitles is wrong.
The translations in this whole entire vid are almost completely inaccurate and the subtitle timing is wrong. You can't listen to the subtitles at all.
