very interesting, thank you for bringing us along for this repair. Never seen one of those passenger occupation detector sensor/module go bad before so any time I get to watch work being done on an SRS system is always educational. thats crazy how none of the aftermarket scan tools could do that, you need to send a help ticket with your snap-on rep to get that fixed. A zeus or verus should be able to do that procedure
@@fixingcarswith15thstautomo36 you know most of the time people decline this kind of repairs cause they don't want to spend money into something " not esencial " and make no difference on the everyday driving
Those Tech2’s are still a valuable tool. I tried programming a 2005 Saturn ECU with my Cardaq 3 Plus but couldn’t perform the task. Decided to buy a Tech2 on eBay and was shocked at the pricing so I never got one.
When these things work, they are fine. Problem is, old vehicles are that much harder and more expensive to keep on the road, even if that seat is never used.
It took 5 minutes to do this job, and I was up and down the whole time. I would have spent more time repositioning the knee pad as I would have doing the job.
Thanks for the follow up Steve. Nice work 👏

I had the Tech2 so it wasn’t a problem.
As one tech to another, that soft foam pad hanging on lift is ideal, for us older mens knees, got to protect the body sir, nice video.
My knees are hurting just watching.
Neat job as always Steve , the kind of job not so usual in the shop , Gabriel your colleague from Argentina
I’ve seen this problem before but the previous repairs were declined. This is the first time the customer approved the repair.

I was going to sell this one a while ago, glad I didn't. It's good tool for those earlier GM's.

OMG my knees hurt watching, work smarter not harder, your knees will thank you in your later years. Empty garbage can works wonders.

Looks like a 3,500 job my opinion.
