Had a chance to attend Dr Lavanya madam's voice culture workshop recently. What an amazing experience it turned out to be. Apart from a fantastic session in terms of details, it was also a major myth buster when it comes to singing light music. Dr Lavanya - Maam, it was an excellent workshop on Voice Culture yesterday. Was able to understand better on vocal ranges, breathing techniques, voice care and more importantly the intricacies in light music singing and notes. Listening for 'learning' is different from listening for 'entertainment' - a key take-away which i understood only now. The importance of starting and ending notes were explained in greater detail. I never knew ending notes could be of 5 different types. Am confident that the exercises and your mentoring will make me a better singer. Looking forward to this musical journey! Cheers, Sriram
