I mean, other than the overhyped dancing when he reacts, and other than the Shorts (which I agree are hilariously weird), most of everything else is the same as other regular channels when they react to MSM songs? Like I don't really get some of the issues you have with him specifically. Looking at a lot of these points, you'd think you would make videos on almost every other channel who covers MSM these days.
For one, I don't see why he would have to make in-depth commentary or at least explain why he likes any given monster. Sure it would be cool, but I think it's fine for him to just enjoy himself and not have to explain. I have seen a fair few of his videos, and he does show times when he doesn't really like the sound a monster makes (from what I remember?), if that's something you didn't notice yourself.
In addition, even if he cranks his reaction to 11 compared to how he probably would've normally reacted to it alone, I don't see the problem with it since the underlying reaction to it seems genuine, as in it seems to me that most of it is his first time hearing them. Playing up his feelings is just par for the course with content creation, or even just the entertainment industry in general. It is incredibly normal among most UA-camrs to play up their feelings to be more engaging, so, like I said, other than the "incessant" dancing, I don't see much issue with his reactions. I feel like someone like Lankybox is _way_ worse honestly.
EDIT: Forgot to mention his clickbait. Yes, I dislike that a couple of his video titles are too clickbaity. I will also say I don't really care for the saturation increase, but it's not like that does much bad.

I think that videos about completing islands and reacting to them is fine. That's why I would watch Diane and those completing gold island videos. But this guy overreacts to everything, and the shorts are kinda cringe. If he overreacted a bit less, his content would be better. But the loud reactions makes money, so I understand why he does it. He's also more mature with his response to the video. Most youtubers would've probably gotten mad and insulted you.

I personally enjoy his videos despite being being targeted towards kids
He is definitely much better than majority of family friendly channels because he's not screaming his lungs out throughout the entire thing or isn't being overly childish
My honest personal view on Ethan
Sometimes I have trouble watching Pure Plays videos, but theres another UA-camr who plays MSM and he's even worse, his UA-cam name is wbangcaHD.
He never gets excited about new Monsters even if it's a Rare or an Epic, he always complains about how hard it is to get certain Monsters in the game, and his voice is always boring to the point where I'll fall asleep halfway through the video.
I don't see your point. Wbangca in my opinion is not a bad youtuber (at least not worse than pure)
Personally i enjoy his videos. Sure,his content isn't for everyone,because it's different,and that's not a bad thing.
@Lazer325 He once said that Rare Theremind didn't exist, and that was 2 weeks after it was released. Then, in August 2021, Rare Theremind came after Magical Sanctum was finished, and before he saw Rare Theremind, wbangca still thought it didn't exist.
This happened in a 4 month gap.

The only thing i dont really like is his CONSTANT distractions. Im trying to watch this guy go over an island and yet every time he goes to plant island, he gets distracted with Shugabush. Or whenever hes in Air Island, he gets distracted with ghe werdos. And I get it theyre good, but they arent THAT good. Its so annoying!
