I had the same idea for the gas tank covering the gas filler. I didn’t know how it would look but I like what you’ve done here. Gives it that vintage look, very cool!

The pre aluminum subframe cars have a slightly narrower rear axle. That's what I used on the 58 f100 I built for a customer.

I have a 65 step side, my dream is to be able to make this swap some day. You have made a really nice truck, I’ve been looking at the saddle blanket covers as a temporary fix for my bench seat. Where did you get your saddle blanket cover?
I’ve enjoyed your videos on this swap and look forward to the unibody swap coming up.

Is this a long ? I’ve seen other vid where guys are having to lengthen the frame , I didn’t see you had to do that .

No this is a short bed, there is a way to cut down a long bed and make it work

I'm new to this, so don't go too hard on me. Can you swap an older model crown vic chassis, or can it only be 2003 and later?

I believe they can be swapped, but it’s a little different fit. Maybe more modifications. I know 2003 to 2011 all fit pretty good.
