Real talk it actually takes a lot of courage to be vegan in a culture where it’s so frowned down upon. Like it or not, there is a lot of animal abuse going on in the meat and dairy industry and vegans are just the ones who are empathetic and caring enough to make an according change in their lives. You can make fun of the all you want but at the end of the day, as long as they are not trying to force it on others, you are just insecure that you aren’t as motivated as they are to do something. Australian culture is Intimidated by the moral high ground vegans hold. This is coming from a vegetarain growing up in Australia - every time people find out that I’m vegetarian they make fun of me and tell me to eat meat, when never once have I told anyone else to be vegetarian.
