I have fallen down a deep hole of women’s soccer and women basketball since the Olympics, I know these athletes individually, had no clue they were a couple💛 this has been so cool to listen to current and past episodes. With the current spotlight on the wnba, I would loooooooove to hear Sue either be a commentator, player interviewer, I have no clue but Birds deep knowledge about basketball, ability to explain and speak in understandable terms is a gift. We don’t know the history of women’s basketball, she’s a apart of it. I admire the way she speaks about other players, she’s rational, it’s refreshing and I’m looking forward to listening more where ever she goes…..
Mia is my favorite player. Player and ref. She was from a military family and lived in many places. Soccer was her escape and place to shine. Played goalie too! Awesome!

Also, in terms of the closing ceremony, it's normally only the male athlete who is given the medal ceremony at closing! Paris is the first host to switch it and award the Women medals at the closing ceremony!!! A CHANGING OF TIME!!!!
I love this podcast! Sue! How could you forget coach Sandy Brondello?! She was the Mercury coach and now the Liberty coach. You even played with her in Seattle. :) Maybe you are only referring to the National teams.
I think it's great that you all stay connected to the USWNT. To see all the past players in the stands was really awesome. I think it's one thing that is special with women football and basketball where you are all there to support them and help. It's definitely not weird or creepy, so if the current players think that it is, then they just don't get it.
Sue definitely just brushed off A’ja’s contributions. Yeah her offense was off but don’t act like she didn’t do everything else. Defense, rebounds, getting to the line. she was everywhere in that gold medal game. Show some MF respect. M’VP.

It's funny how so many young players coming into the senior US WNT from the youth national teams have reminded me of the OG's, Pinoe played a lot like Kristine Lilly, Abby like Michelle Akers, Carly lloyd like Shannon Macmillon, Mal like Mia LOL shot out to the OG's !!
Always great, would have been nice to cover other key sports like swimming, and newer ones. Looking forward to the travel episode. But being a NYr how ur always able to make a Gothem and Liberty game in the same day that are close. I always feel like I have to pick one bcz of traffic.
Megan is clearly wrong in the bicker but she knows it. Actually maybe L'Oréal is wrong for not sending the ladies enough product to keep Megan's paint brows out of Sue's gel stuff. And I, too, didn't like that DT got zero minutes in her last ever Olympic game. Nevermind the fact that she was clearly needed, it's a slap in the face to know what she's meant to the dynasty and keep her on the bench her last run.
