I feel like I’m all big and bad with my little stock Tacoma … and then I saw that Rick at 6:30 you guys drove off and I realized that I’m on the JV team 😂 You guys killed it! Great video !
One of your best videos yet. Good vid & editing: not over produced- it really felt like I was there with you. Also, so many videos have loud music that overpowers the real sounds from the trail like tires slipping on the rock - your background music was perfect. The rock obstacle that threw the dog into the front seat - it was wild to see how much bed flex there was when the trailer hitch hit - any thoughts on frame stiffeners for you guys? Not as much traction on the rocks there vs. Moab, I can relate. Great rig set ups, gives me ideas for my Bison. 🤟
Thanks for the feedback! People did mention that the music in my older videos was too loud. When you spend hours editing the same footage, the sounds start to just blend and you miss things like that. I spent a lot more time trying to make sure the sound was better this time. I did notice the bed flex a lot when the hitch hit too…I haven’t considered bed stiffeners but I may in the future. Moab definitely had a lot more traction and it’s generally not as wet there as it can be here in CO. Appreciate you supporting the channel!
Yes I agree. He still has his stock gearing too and said he didn’t feel much power loss at all after adding the 35s. When I added 35s it was pretty noticeable
Hey!!! Great video AGAIN!! Curious what camera you used for this? Is it the OSMO pocket?? What settings did you use to get the blur in the background??
I mainly used the Nikon Z50. The shots take inside the truck are with the GoPro 10. The way you get that blur is through something called depth of field (f) so when you have a real camera that you can attach lenses to; the lenses it self will have a max and min depth of field. So my lense was at f1.8 which will focus in on a small target and the rest will be blurry. If I had the lense at f10 then everything would be in focus and nothing would be blurry
@@OrrinLewis thanks for the reply!! I do have a micro 4/3 camera with different lenses and do know about the F stop. I just thought I heard you mention that you got a new camera with a Gimble on it and I assumed that it was a DJI a Osmo everything looks great on your videos. I’m so impressed with your driving skills. Looking forward to getting out to Colorado in the next few weeks.
This was taken with a DJI Air 2s drone and I used a Nikon Z50…and a GoPro 10 for some shots. The Z50 takes the good quality shots. I did just start using a new camera though, the Nikon Z7ii and the only thing I’ve posted with that is my most recent short. But the quality is really good on that
@@OrrinLewis No I haven't got out there yet. I am in Florida. I was planning on coming out to Colorado this summer, but I had a buyer for a set of patents I developed, and all the closing process dragged on for 2 months and is finally finished, so I am planning on a 3 - or 4-month trip out west next summer and will try to do a lot of the trails while I am out there.
@@jeffreyjohnston6843 oh wow congrats on the sale and congrats on having some patents. Not many of us can say that. Let me know when you’re out here, would love to meet up for a trail ride.
@@OrrinLewis Ok I will let you know when time gets closer to getting to go out there . I always enjoy your videos and would like to see a lot of the area out there. some of the trails might be a bit much for me since I will be driving all over the west, I will have to be careful not to damage my truck since I will be doing about 15,000 miles covering most of the western states. I don't want to be sitting in a shop waiting for repairs.
Dude, those angles starting at the 10:20 mark are fire! This new camera is great!
Glad you think so!
I love the quote! It speaks to me!! I wanna really get out there & do this kinda thing sooner than later!!
It’s a great quote for sure! Glad you wanna get out here and do stuff like this. It’s definitely worth the time and effort
Really enjoyed!
Glad you enjoyed it!
The looks amazing!
It’s a great trail!

Agreed! One of your best.
Great vid bro!
Appreciate it!
dang bro I didn't even know you posted this. One of your best videos then again the celebrity appearance helped 😀
it’s your world, I’m just living in it haha thanks though. It’s nice going out with a good group
great video!
Thank you!
The ZR2 with the diesel engine seems a better power plant for rock crawling, what was your assessment Orrin?

@@at4overlandadventures711 I did but a new camera. It’s a Nikon Z7ii but it wasn’t used in this trip. Just the Z50, GoPro and a DJI drone.
@@at4overlandadventures711 yea and let me know when you come out. Might be able to run a trail with ya
What type of coms(radios) do you have ?
Really loved this one man 👍, nice vibes and amazing camp site!
Glad you enjoyed it! We use FRS radios. I have a Rocky talkie to be specific but it’ll connect to any other FRS radio
